The Champions Club Winter Poker Open 2024 $400 Mystery Bounty has crowned its winner in James Galloway! He overcame a field of 1,276 competitors, taking home $38,128 and the championship trophy. Finishing behind him was Jonathan Park who walked away with $24,378 as the runner-up.

Galloway is no stranger to success in live tournaments and has already won several titles, including a notable $25,581 victory at The Lodge in a $300 No-Limit event in March 2023. In May of the same year, he also earned a hefty $176,720 for his victory in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Max event

The final day was a thrilling one with lucrative bounties up for grabs, including the coveted $25,000 grand prize, which Ben Thomas eventually earned. Additionally, two $10,000 bounties were claimed with Ahmad Mohassel winning the first of the two. The second bounty was split between Park and Galloway during the lead-up to their heads-up battle. Carson Wieland also grabbed attention by winning two $5,000 bounties. Wieland exited on 17th and walked away with an additional $2,300 for his efforts.

The fina table was reached when Nowling (tenth) was sent to the rail by Galloway. Nowling was followed by Thomas (ninth), Sanad Dahbour (eighth) and Jason Gooch (seventh) and Tai Vo (sixth).

One of the most talkative players in Houston poker, Normand exited in fifth when his king-six lost to the pocket pair of eights of Galloway who hit straight to win the pot and eliminate his opponent. Galloway continued his domination and eliminated Ahluwalia (fourth) after flopping an ace against queens.

Mustapha Tokko was eliminated in third place when he got in with king-queen suited against the ace-jack suited of Galloway. Heads-up play between Park and Galloway was a short-lived affair lasting  for only 20 minutes. Galloway quickly widened his chip lead and finished off his opponent in second place. Finally, all of the chips got into the middle on an all-diamond flop with Park holding ace-jack and Galloway holding a pair of fives. No diamond, ace, or jack came on the turn or river, and Galloway won the pot with his pair of fives, eliminating Park and crowning him the champion.
