One of them was the inaugural Mid-States Poker Tour Venetian $1,100 mystery bounty event that drew a 318-entry field, comfortably surpassing its advertised $200k guarantee to create an impressive $306,870 in the final prize pool. Following two starting days and one more day of play at Venetian® Resort Las Vegas, Los Angeles resident Sean Berman emerged as the ultimate champion. Berman earned $56,997 along with $19,500 in bounty payouts. This was Berman’s largest score, topping the $13,420 he had earned for a 21st-place finish in the 2023 WPT Gardens Poker Championship last year.
It was not an easy win for Berman as he to face a tough competition on the final table featuring the likes of 2015 WPT Choctaw champion Jason Brin (9th), two-time WSOP bracelet winner David Jackson (8th), Christina Gollins (7th), 2018 Caribbean Poker Party main event runner-up Craig Mason (5th), and 2018 MSPT Season Finale runner-up Ronnie Lamb (3rd).
Finally in the heads-up, he battled it out with Spain’s Pedro Ingles ,who could not go all the way but walked away with the top bounty payout of $25,000. With $34,419 from the main prize pool and $27,250 in bounties, he earned $61,669.

Jason Daly Wins Champions Club Winter Poker Open PLO Championship For $41,635
The Champions Club Winter Poker Open’s $1,100 PLO Championship crowned a champion in Jason Daly. The PLO enthusiast defeated a strong field of 199, securing him the coveted title and an impressive $41,635 payout after a heads-up deal with Carson Wieland (runner-up for $35,070).
Daly was truly moved by the positive atmosphere provided by fellow players. “It was a good time. A lot of good guys, a lot of guys I know. Ray (Henson) is a great player and a nice guy, it was just fun, that made it not bad.” said Daly referring to the healthy competition and rivalry in the tournament.
Reflecting on his first PLO win, he said, “I love it. It’s the first PLO tournament I’ve won, that’s my favorite game, it’s the one I play at home all the time, I don’t get to play it often, so yah, it felt good.”
The heads-up battle against Wieland was a thrilling one. Daly quickly turned things in his favour hitting a full house and disrupting Wieland’s momentum. While Wieland was able to come back and close the gap, Daly regained a significant lead. On the final hand, Daly’s single pair held against Wieland’s potential draws, securing him the coveted championship title. The victory provided a massive boost to his bankroll and he now has over $952,272 in live tournament earnings.
