The 2024 World Poker Tour (WPT) Cambodia at NagaWorld Integrated Resorts in Phnom Penh is witnessing scintillating performances from Team India. Indian players have been making waves, clinching an impressive seven final table finishes. Among these power-packed performances by Indians is a remarkable victory by Aayush Arya, who recently took down Event #18: Deepstack 20/15/10/5. Arya’s stellar victory earned him an impressive $9,152 (INR 7.61 Lakhs) and solidified India’s presence on the global poker stage.
In a thrilling display of poker prowess, India’s Sharavn Kumar Singh finished runner-up at the WPT Cambodia Event 13: Freezeout a couple of days back. The tournament featuring a buy-in of $230 attracted a total of 107 players, creating a massive prize pool of $ 20,758, which was finally shared by the top 14 players.
Singh navigated through a competitive field of talented players to secure his spot in the heads-up battle. The final moments of the event unfolded with Chi Wai Will Kwok from Hong Kong ultimately seizing the coveted victory and claiming $3,697 in top prize. Singh took home a prize of $4,489 for his runner-up finish.

In Event 19: Superstack Freezeout, India’s Jatin Sablani and Deep Raina came out with stellar performances. Sablani, a familiar name in the Asian poker circuit, finished fourth in the $230 buy-in event, taking home $1,807, his first cash in the ongoing series. Raina clinched an eighth place for a payout of $903. This was his second cash, following his seventh-place finish in Event #12: Deepstack Turbo Big Bounty.
Event 19: Superstack Freezeout was finally won by America’s Zachary David Seymour, who bested a strong field of 149, claiming the top prize of $7,977. China’s Yuhang Chen placed runner-up, earning $5,059.

In Event #15: 8 Max Survivor 2K Bounty, India’s Amit Kaushik (170,000), who qualified from Day 1A, is the only Indian among 53 others players who will return for Day 2 at 11:30 AM (local time) today. Yu-Chung Chang will return as the overall chip leader. The tournament is expected to play down to a champion, who will walk away with a whopping $48,720 uptop prize and the coveted WPT trophy.
