The World Poker Tour (WPT) World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas concluded with a series of exciting events. Among them, the $10,000 Seniors High Roller was the key highlight. Daniel Lowery emerged victorious in this event, celebrating his his 50th birthday in style. The victory secured him a massive $394,636 in top prize. Lowery eventually beat Judy Bielan in the heads-up. Bielan pocketed an impressive $236,978 as the runner-up.
This career-defining victory follows Lowery‘s impressive 18th-place finish in the $1,100 WPT Prime Championship, where he secured $53,500. His journey to poker prominence began in 2013 at Harrah’s New Orleans, where he won his first WSOPC ring in Event #6: No-Limit Hold’em.
Keeping his streak, he won two more WSOP circuit rings the following year. Currently boasting 14 rings and he strands as the third-highest WSOP Circuit ring earner, trailing behind the likes of Ari Engel (16), Maurice Hawkins (15) and Joshua Reichard (15).
Lowery currently holds an impressive $3,217,397 in live earnings and his rise in the all-time ring list has been noteworthy. 2023 was a big year for him as he added an impressive four rings to his tally.
