Dane Miller is the RGPS Cleveland Main Event Champion
RunGood Poker Series Cleveland has officially wrapped up with the conclusion of a $1,100 buy-in Main Event. Pittsburgh’s Dane Miller took down the main event, earning his career-best prize money $98,607 and his first-ever RunGood Ring. This victory has now pushed his career earnings over $100k.
The $1.1k buy-in Main Event drew 510 entrants across three flights, crushing the $400k guarantee and collecting $474,962 in the final prize pool. Day 2 began with 67 players being in the money, and it took another 13 hours to find a winner.
Miller’s victory was nothing short of a miracle, he entered the final table with a short stack. Miller soon doubled up in a three-way battle, eliminating another short stack Shane Swank in 9th, and doubling up through Andrew Manche. Miller held the momentum and doubled up through the chip leaders. He eventually went to the heads-up battle, with playable chip stacks. Miller scooped several big pots on the battle, narrowing down the chip gap.
The final hand saw Miller holding Ac-Qd put Gray in an all-in position. Gray turned over his pocket eights and the board ran out 9h-Qc-9s-Qs-5h giving Miller a full house. Gray earned $60,495 for his runner-up finish.
