Straight Flush is one of the rarest hands in poker. As per reports, the probability of making a straight flush is 0.00139%. However, popular female poker pro Danielle Andersen recently made two straight flushes in a single hand. She might have seen several crazy things in her poker career but this one was crazier, leaving the poker community stunned. In a single hand of double board PLO Board bomb pots, she made two straight flushes. Here is how it unfolded!
Danielle Andersen has been taking a break from the live tournament circuit since her 116th-place finish at the 2024 WSOP Main Event, where she cashed for a six-figure sum. Despite stepping away from tournaments, she has continued to play live cash games.
In a recent cash game, she made two straight flushes in a single hand, a feat that left her opponents stunned. On October 28th, Andersen posted this hand on her X (formerly Twitter.
This remarkable hand occurred in a Double Board Pot-Limit Omaha bomb pot. For those unfamiliar, Double Board PLO bomb pots are similar to standard PLO games, where players are dealt four-hole cards but everybody goes straight to the flop. The twist is that instead of a single board, two separate boards are dealt. To win the entire pot, a player must have the best hand on both boards; if different players win each board, the pot is split between them.
In this hand, Andersen held 4♥ 6♥ 10♥ 7♦ against an opponent’s Q♥ 10♠ 6♦ 9♣. The first board ran out A♣ 8♥ 8♦ 9♥ 7♥, and the second board delivered 2♥ 10♣ 8♣ 5♥ 3♥. Andersen made her first straight flush with 6♥ 10♥ on the top board, and her second straight flush with 4♥ 6♥ on the second board.
This game took place at Table 1 Vegas, inside the ARIA Poker Room. This incredible hand is undoubtedly one of the most memorable in Andersen’s career. A single straight flush is already one of the rarest hands in poker, but making two in the same hand is truly extraordinary. Keep following PokerProNews if you love double board PLO bomb pots.
