American poker pro Brian Kim triumphed in the 2024 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo WPT Global Ultimate Slam $25,000 NLH event, capturing his first Triton title and the $941,000 top prize. This win also pushed Kim’s live earnings over the $10 million mark, placing him 26th on the Global Poker Index.

Event #1 $25,000 NLH WPT Global Ultimate Slam Final Table Recap
Only 34 players made it to the final day, with 27 of them making the money. The action was fast, with eliminations coming quickly and the field narrowing down to nine. Alex Theologis led the final nine with Kim close behind. Three-time Triton champion Elton Tsang was the first final-table casualty, as his pocket nines couldn’t outlast Alex Theologis’s pocket aces, sending Tsang to the rail in 9th place ($95,000).
Ranno Sootla followed shortly after, going all-in with ace-nine only to be bested by two-time bracelet winner Aleksejs Ponakovs holding pocket aces. Sootla exited in 8th place, earning $115,000. Ponakovs’s run ended when his pocket eights failed to hold against Roberto Perez’s queens, knocking him out in 7th place with $159,000. The eliminations continued as Dominykas Mikolaitis and Tom Fuchs fell in 6th ($218,000) and 5th place ($284,000), respectively.
With four players remaining, Kim began making his moves, eliminating short-stacked Roberto Perez in 4th place. Perez called Kim’s all-in with Q♣ 9♥ against Kim’s 7♦ 5♥. Kim spiked a five on the flop and held from there through the river. Perez took home $356,000 for his efforts.
In three-handed play, Theologis attempted a bluff and was left short-stacked. Shortly after that, he went all-in with Q♣ 2♠ against Kim’s 5♥ 8♦. Kim completed a runner-runner straight on the turn, sending Theologis to the rail in 3rd place for $436,000.
Heads-up play started with Kim holding a slight lead over Enrico Camosci, who briefly gained the advantage with pocket tens. However, Kim regained control, and in the final hand, Camosci shoved with Q♠ 7♦, and Kim called with K♣ J♥. The board ran out 9♣ 10♠ 6♥ 3♥ 9♠, securing the win for Kim with king-high.
Brian Kim celebrated his first Triton title and a payout of $941,000, while Enrico Camosci collected an impressive $634,000 for his runner-up finish.
