The PokerStars European Poker Tour $1,100 Eureka Main Event has concluded, crowning a champion in Leo Worthington-Leese. The UK pro overcame a large field of  2,803 total entries to take home the coveted trophy and $314,030 from the $2,662,850 prize pool for his efforts.  Having finished 3rd in the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event earlier this year for $437,918, he claimed his first-ever EPT trophy. This marked his second best live score and he now has more than $1.5 million in live tournament earnings.

The top 418 finishers were paid out in this event and among them were several big names like Victoria Livschitz (81st), 2020 WSOP Online main event champion Stoyan Madanzhiev (64th), two-time bracelet winner Alexandre Reard (53rd), two-time bracelet winner Michael Wang (51st), two-time bracelet winner Martin Zamani (39th), and WPT and EPT champ Andrey Pateychuk (14th).

The final day began with eight players with China’s Yuan Xu on top of the leaderboard. Worthington-Leese was in sixth chip position to start. Following early eliminations of Russia’s Alexey Badulin, Turkey’s  Recep Aydemir, and China’s Wei Guoliang and Yuan Xu, Russia’s Razinkov shoved with Ks 3c and got a call from Anastasiades, whose Ac 9s made a two pair by the river. Razinkov earned $132,120 for his fourth-place finish.

The final three agreed to a deal, leaving the trophy and $79,957 aside for the eventual winner. After that, Worthington-Leese shoved 10c 9s and was called  by Fournier with pocket fives. Worthington-Leese flopped a nine and held from there to bust Fournier in third place ($237,051).

Up next, pocket sevens for Anastasiades pitted against the pocket queens of Worthington-Leese. The pocket pair held up and Anastasiades was left with just a couple of big blinds after the hand.

The final hand saw Anastasiades move all-in with Ks 2s and Worthington-Leese called from the big blind with Js 3h. The board came down 7c 5c 4c 9c 6d, giving Worthington-Leese a seven-high straight to seal the victory and eliminate Anastasiades  in second place ($248,479).
