Terrance Reid Claims RunGood Poker Series Season Main Event Victory ($192,755)
On August 5, poker media member Terrance Reid topped a field of 455 entries in the RunGood Poker Series $2,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event that was part of the Destination: RunGood Season Finale at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort. Reid eventually outlasted Lee Markholt in the heads-up, earning his career-high score of $192,755 after striking a three-way deal. With the latest victory, Reid took his live tournament earning more than $408,000.
Featuring a massive $1,000,000 guarantee, this event ran from August 2 to August 5 and generated prize pool of $1,015,105 that was shared by the top 68 finishers.The third and final day saw 20 players returning and several notables among them managed to finish deep, including WPT champion Taylor Black (7th), 2023 champion of this tournament Tyler Patterson (6th), Darren Rabinowitz (5th), and bracelet winner and two-time WPT champion Jared Jaffee (4th) who was busted by Reid whose queen-five won against the ace-eight of Jaffee to earn him massive lead into three-handed play.
Finally, the event concluded with Terrance Reid, WPT champion Lee Markholt, and Steven Ritchie agreeing to a three-way ICM chop. Reid was then awarded with the RGPS ring, the first-place prize of $192,755 and a free ticket into the Dream Seat Invitational this November. Markholt earned $124,540 as the runner-up, while Ritchie secured $110,000 as the third-place finisher.

Christopher Audrain Takes Down MSPT Hollywood Casino St. Louis Main Event ($125,626)
Concluding prior to this RGPS Main Event was the 2024 MSPT Hollywood Casino $1,100 main event in St. Louis, Missouri.Running from August 1 to 4, the tournament concluded with local hero Christopher Audrian topping 631 entries to earn a career-best $125,626 and his first MSPT trophy as the champion.
This event generated a $612,070 prize pool on the back of 631 entries. A total of 67 players who returned for Day 2 made the money. Among them several notables cashed, including MSPT Hall of Famer’s Aaron Johnson (34th Place – $2,844), two-time MSPT champ Bobby Noel (17th Place – $6,272), and three-time MSPT champ Carl Carodenuto (10th Place – $9,332), reigning WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown main event champion and 15-time World Series of Poker Circuit ring winner Joshua Reichard (7th – $18,513) and two-time MSPT main event winner Chris Meyers (3rd – $57,074).
Two-time MSPT champ Chris Meyers who was sitting atop the final table chip counts for majority of the night but couldn’t get much going after three-handed action began. He fell to the bottom of the counts and got it in with As 4h against the Ah 2c of Joe DeRousse. The board ran out 2h 6h 10h 8s 6c, ending his run in 3rd place for $57,074.
Finally, it came down to a heads-up between Audrain against Derousse, who held the chip lead after eliminating Meyers. On the final hand, Audrian raised with Ah Ad and DeRousse three-bet shoved with Qh Jc. The board ran out 10s 3c 2h 6s Jh, sending Derousse to the rail in second place ($76,660).
