While the 2024 World Series of Poker has concluded with Jonathan Tamayo winning the main event, the action never stops. WSOP has announced the return of the World Series of Poker Paradise, scheduled from December 6 to 19, 2024, at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas. This 14-day festival will feature the largest guarantee in live poker tournament history.
WSOP Paradise festival will offer a plethora of high roller and super high roller tournaments. Although WSOP is yet to announce the full schedule, the buy-ins for events will range from $2,500 – $1,000,000. The main highlight of this festival will be the $25,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Championship, aka the Super Main Event, featuring a $50 million guaranteed prize pool.
Ty Stewart WSOP Senior Vice President and Executive Director said that, “The action we saw during the WSOP summer series is a testament to the health of poker, particularly for high roller tournaments.”
“Last year was not a one-time gimmick. We’re thrilled GGPoker has reaffirmed their commitment to building WSOP Paradise through the biggest guarantee in poker history,’ he added.
Players can earn a seat at WSOP Paradise events through GGPoker. Online qualifiers and tournaments will start on GGPoker, catering to players in the international online poker market.
GGPoker Global Ambassador and seven-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu commented, “This is one you can’t miss.” He further said, “There were a lot of learnings from year one, and everything is going to be bigger and better. A 50 million guarantee in the Bahamas! Are these guys crazy?
The festival will take place at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas, which underwent a $150 million renovation this year.
A Look Back At WSOP Paradise in 2023
WSOP hosted the inaugural WSOP Paradise in 2023. A total of 3,010 players entered the WSOP Paradise 2023 main event, which had a $5,000 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of $15 million. The inaugural series saw German online qualifier Stanislav Zegal outlast the field in the $5,000 buy-in main event to win $2 million. This marked the bracelet win for the Berlin poker pro.
