Event #25: $3,000 Limit Hold’em (6-Handed) was the only event to conclude on Day 14 of the World Series of Poker and found a winner in Daniel Vampan, a Las Vegas local, who topped a field of 248 entrants, securing his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet and a $148,635 prize from the hefty $662,160 prize pool. WSOP 2024 Event #25: $3,000 Limit Hold’em 6-Handed Recap

Ten players returned for the third and final day of the event. Daniel Idema was the first player to hit the rail in tenth ($11,157) and he was followed by Daniel Budovsky in ninth ($13,276),  Yi ‘Kat’ Klassen (8th-$13,276), Daniel Maczuga (7th-$17,704) all busting before the six-handed final table.

First casualty on the final table was Frank Yakubson who got it all in with pocket sixes on the turn and lost it to Vampan who made a pair of sevens to send him home after the river provided no help.

Next to fall was Roland Israelashvili who tangled with Nick Caltabiano. Both players flopped a pair of threes and got it all in, but Roland’s six-kicker was no good against the king-kicker of Caltabiano.

A little later, Lucas Wagner bowed out in fourth place after his 7s 5s lost to the Qs 9h of Nick Caltabiano on a queen-high board. Despite scoring the elimination, the next to fall was Caltabiano. His Qh 10d could not dominate the Jd 10c of Robert Wells who hit a straight to send him to the rail in third place for $67,919.

The final showdown between Robert Wells and Daniel Vampan saw the former open from the button and Vampan called. On the flop 7d 3c 2c, Vampan checked to Wells who fired a bet. Vampan put in a check-raise and Wells called. On the turn 5h, Vampan fired another bet and Wells raised all in for 300,000. Vampan quickly called with 7h 4d against the 6s 5s of Wells. The  8h river changed nothing, Vampan was crowned the winner. Well took home $99,578 for his runner-up finish in the tournament.
