The action on Day 3 of PokerBaazi‘s first-ever National Poker Champion (NPC) Showdown in Goa reached a fever pitch as the final six contenders for the Grand Finale were confirmed after the conclusion of the final and sixth Match of the showdown. From incredible comebacks to high-pressure eliminators, the day was full of drama, dominance, and under pressure knockouts.
Eliminator 1: Bawa’s Match 5 Win Falls Just Short of Finale Spot
Day 3 began with Match 5, where Delhi’s Saahib Bawa started as the underdog with just 15 points but he played some top notch poker and claimed an impressive 110-point win after knocking out Bhanuprakash KC (3rd) and Ankit Wadhawan (2nd) en route to his victory. Unfortunately, even with the win, Bawa’s total score of 95 was not enough to earn him a seat to the finale. Wadhawan, on the other hand, despite finishing runner-up in the match, racked in 80 more points, bringing his total point tally to 285 and securing the chip lead into the grand finale.
