The Asian Poker Tour is currently hosting another massive festival in Taipei, featuring staggering guarantees and events aimed at every buy-in level. The APT Taipei 2025 is being held inside the luxurious Red Space, a new poker venue for the prestigious series.
The festival runs from April 15 to May 8, boasting a TWD 126 million (~$5.4 million) guarantee, with buy-ins starting from TWD 3,500 (~$106) up to TWD 800,000 (~$24,420). As always, the crown jewel of the festival is the TWD 55,000 (~$1,680) buy-in Main Event, featuring a TWD 70 Million (~$2.1 million) guarantee.
It’s only been three days at APT Taipei 2025, but the series has already crowned two of its biggest winners, each locking up six-figure payouts. Vietnam’s Minh Quang captured the APT Super High Roller title for a staggering $284,905 paycheck, while Taiwan’s Shi Rong Wang scored a life-changing $106,308 by winning the APT National Cup.

Minh Quang Wins APT Super High Roller at APT Taipei 2025
The TWD 330,000 (~$10,100) buy-in APT Super High Roller drew 122 entries, crushing the TWD 15,000,000 (~$458,000) guarantee to create a massive TWD 37,040,420 (~$1,143,223) prize pool.
The two-day event saw 25 players advance to the final day, with 17 players securing a minimum payout of TWD 576,000 (~$17,778). After the money bubble burst, the final table was formed, with Minh Quang starting as the short stack.
Near elimination at one point, Quang managed to double up and moved to the top in the chip counts. Calvin Lee from the United States finished in third place, earning $125,139, while Alexander Lynskey from Australia finished as the runner-up, taking home $192,515.
For the win, Minh Quang earned a career-best TWD 9,580,920 (~$284,905), bringing his lifetime poker earnings close to $300,000. In addition to the payout and the prestigious silver lion trophy, Quang also received an APT Championship Main Event ticket for the November edition.

Young-Gun Shi Rong Wang Takes Down the APT National Cup
Local rising star Shi Rong Wang captured the APT National Cup title, securing $106,308 and etching his name in the history books.
The TWD 12,000 (~$365) buy-in event attracted a massive field of 2,161 entries, doubling the original TWD 10,000,000 (~$307,000) guarantee to create a TWD 21,264,240 (~$656,000) prize pool.
After navigating the huge field and intense final table action, it was Shi Rong Wang who emerged victorious, claiming the trophy and a life-changing payout.

The Action Heats Up With 2025 APT Taipei Main Event
The APT Main Event is currently underway inside the newly launched Red Space poker venue. Flight A drew 542 entries, and Flight B added 467 entries, with two more flights still to play.
As the series moves closer to crowning its Main Event champion, the action at APT Taipei 2025 is heating up with bigger fields and even bigger prizes expected in the coming days.
