Meet Vidhi Seem, an Indian-origin poker player from Allen, Texas in the United States, whose poker journey started in a thrilling fashion with a free game win at a bar near her apartment in the USA.
They were moving their home and Vidhi needed a break from all the packing. This was when her husband suggested that she play poker. With just two hours of guidance from her husband on poker basics, she joined the game and went on to win the game on her first attempt. When she returned the next night, she finished as the runner-up. From there on, she was hooked forever. Their date nights soon turned into poker nights and she continued to play for over six years, learning the game and improving her skills.
In 2013, she became a mother and decided to take a break from poker for 3 years to take care of her son. While she cherished the time at home, she really missed the beauty and the thrill of poker.
In 2016, Vidhi Seem returned back to poker and competed in the WPT Women’s Tournament where she did remarkably well, finishing at the final table. That gave her the confidence to pursue poker more seriously and since then there has been no looking back. She has won two live titles and cashed multiple WSOP and WPT tournaments. Balancing her senior leadership role in a tech giant with her passion for poker, she leads the teams in the daytime and studies the game at night with a mission to win a WSOP bracelet.
