USOP Grand Finale in Hai Phong to Make Waves with Record-Breaking $4 Million GTD

The month of November this year is set to a blockbuster one for poker players in Asia, as the U Series of Poker (USOP) gearing up to end the calendar season with the USOP Grand Finale inside the Pullman Grand Hotel. The festival boasts a whopping guarantee of VND 100 billion, from 29th November to 11th December. 

Well regarded as one of the premium poker festivals in Vietnam, the USOP Grand Finale in Hai Phong is expected to be the biggest festival by the operator in Vietnam. Highlighting partnering with Pullman Grand Hotel, the USOP statement said, “This stunning venue is the only Flagship of Pullman in South East Asia, which offers not only world-class amenities but also an ideal location.” The statement further read. “Surrounded by a wide selection of top tier restaurants, cozy cafes, and convenient franchise stores that are open 24/7.” 

Over USD $4 Million in Festival Guarantees

USOP has announced a gigantic VND 100 billion (~$4,000,000) in the guaranteed prize pool, with VND 40 billion (~$1,600,000) allocated to the crown jewel of the festival aka the Main Event. This is nearly three times of the previous guarantee in USOP. With this guarantee, USOP has confirmed that it is targeting elite poker players from across the globe.

“This massive prize will bring together elite poker players from across the globe, all vying for the coveted title and a life-changing payout,” the USOP statement said. “The competition will be fierce, the stakes high, and the chance to claim this monumental prize among the best in the game is an opportunity not to be missed. The previous Main Event of USOP attracted 1,507 entries, to push the $600k Guarantee to $1,554,470. Korea’s Juyelo Lee was crowned the winner and he took home $257,590 after defeating Julian Warhurst of Australia in heads-up.
