The final table featured players from six different countries. Ukraine’s Yurii Senchylo began the final table as the chip leader, with Tudor Purice holding the second largest chip stack. The short-stack players were exited early, starting with Umit Sad in 9th place ($17,400) after his pocket jacks couldn’t improve against Emile Abi-Daher’s A-8.
Samuel Klocker with A-Q went in only to be beaten by Aleksandr Denishev’s A-K. Klocker was eliminated in 8th place and earned $22,200 for the deep run.
Tudor Purice scored the first knockout at the final table when he busted Ioan Abrudan (7th – $28,500). Short stack Abrudan needed a double up to stay alive, so he moved all in with A-9, and Tudor Purice made the call with Q-5. The board ran out 9-8-6-Q-4, and Purice won the hand with his top pair.
Eduard Bagrov then knocked out Aleksandr Denishev in 6th place ($37,000), narrowing the table to five.
