Triton Jeju 2025 has officially kicked off inside the Landing Casino, Shinhwa World Jeju. The first stop of the Triton Poker Super High Roller of the year 2025, has already played out four events. The opening event $15k NLH 8-Handed saw China’s Zhao Hongjun as the winner, while the recent four events saw Tuck Wai Foo, Jeremy Ausmus, and Ramin Hajiyev emerge victorious.

Amateur Tuck Wai Foo Wins Beats Pro for His Maiden Triton Title

Malaysia has been a rising nation in the poker world, and recently it has found another poker star, as Tuck Wai Foo took down Event #2 of the Triton Poker SHRS Jeju, securing his maiden Triton title and a staggering $1.35 million top prize. Foo proved himself to be a rising poker star by winning three Poker Dream titles between 2023 and 2024. However, his recent victory has now brought his earnings past $1.56 million.

The $20k buy-in 8-handed no-limit hold’em event saw a turnout of 348 entry fields and generated a whopping total prize pool of $6,960,000, paid out to the top 55 finishers. Several triton regulars made it into the money, such as Dan Smith, David Coleman, Sam Greenwood, and many others. 

Ukraine’s Igor Yaroshevskyy rounded out the podium to collect a payout of $619,000. Whereas, CoinPoker Ambassador, and former Austrian footballer, Mario Mosböck ended up in 2nd place for a payout of $856,000.

Jeremy Ausmus Secures His First Triton Title

The six-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, and the 2024 PGT Players of the Year award receiver, Jeremy Ausmus struck gold at the Triton Poker SHRS Jeju, adding his maiden Triton title to the trophy tally.  Ausmus collected a seven-figure top prize of $1,892,000 and the Triton title for his victory, pushing his live earnings past $25.8 million. 

The $25k buy-in no-limit hold’em Event no.3 saw an entry field of 391 runners, creating a total prize pool of $9,775,000. That massive prize pool was paid out to the top 63 players. Malaysia’s Sim Kok Wai, finished in 3rd place to collect $855,000. Zhou Quan of China gave tough competition to the American players, however, the latter eventually took the lead on the final hand and sent out Quan in 2nd place. Quan took an impressive $1.19 million for his second-place finish.

Ramin Hajiyev Ships Second Triton Title

Azerbaijani High stake pro, Ramin Hajiyev smooth sailed in the Event #5: $30k NLH 8-Handed, earning his career second Triton poker title and a payout of $1.51 million. Hajiyev, who first won the title in the $200k Triton Luxon Invitational Series for a career-defining $4,122,554 top prize. The recent victory at the Triton Jeju 2025 has brought his live earnings past $11.3 million, to lead his country’s money list. 

Event #5: $30k buy-in drew an entry field of 252 players, building up a whopping $7,560,000 total prize pool. At the end of the tournament, it was the top 39 players who went home with a payday, while the top 2 picked over a million. 

Mao Renji finished in 3rd place to collect $737k for his impressive run. The heads-up play was very easy for the eventual champion, as his opponent Viacheslav Balaev held just seven big blinds against the mammoth 56 BBS of the Azerbaijan player. Balaev eventually took the 2nd place to collect $1,008,000. Hajiyev picked $1,517,000 and his second triton title.
