The Red Dragon Poker Tour (RDPT) Jeju ran from May 1st to 10th at the luxurious Jeju Shinhwa World Resort in South Korea. It featured 42 trophy events, with buy-ins suitable for players of all levels.

The highlight of the RDPT Championship Jeju was the Main Event—Red Dragon Championship—boasting a massive KRW 2 billion ($1.38 million) guarantee, with a buy-in of KRW 2.5 million ($1,725).

The Main Event crowned China’s Shengfa Huang, who outlasted nearly a thousand players to earn a life-changing first-place prize of $250,615 and his first-ever live tournament trophy. It was Huang’s first live tournament victory and reportedly his first live recorded cash as well.

RDPT Jeju 2025: Red Dragon Championship Quick Recap

The Red Dragon Championship at RDPT Jeju 2025 attracted a massive 997 players across four starting flights, smashing the guarantee for a total prize pool of KRW 2,175,953,000 (~$1.58 million). The seven-figure prize pool was paid out to the top 150 finishers.

Out of the 150 money finishers, 37 players advanced to Day 3, all aiming for pay jumps. After 5 hours of action, the field was down to nine players, forming the final table. The final nine returned for Day 4, all eyeing a top-three finish and a six-figure payday. China’s Junjie He led the final table with over 10 million in chips, followed by Australia’s Marcus Lok Sheng Law with 8.45 million, and Huang in third chip position.

RDPT Jeju 2025: Red Dragon Championship Final Table Action

The short-stacked Yepeng Ni became the first final table casualty, busting in 9th place for KRW 27,950,000 ($19,455). He was followed by Guanyu Chen, who ran his king-queen suited into Marcus Law’s pocket threes. Chen earned KRW 36,150,000 ($25,165) for his 8th-place finish.

Sishu Peng, also short-stacked, shoved his remaining chips with ace-four and was called by Huang holding pocket queens. Peng collected KRW 47,580,000 (~$33,125) for his 7th-place finish.

Huang continued his run by eliminating Jiapeng Yu in 6th place. Yu moved all-in with ace-jack but ran into Huang’s ace-king. The flop brought both an ace and a king, sending Yu out with KRW 63,690,000 (~$44,340).

Australia’s Marcus Lok Sheng Law exited in 5th place after his ace-queen lost to Huang’s pocket queens. Law walked away with KRW 86,680,000 ($60,340). Yunfeng Sun followed in 4th place, pocketing KRW 119,910,000 ($83,475), setting the stage for three-handed play.

A few hands into three-handed action, female pro Chenxu Zhang was eliminated in 3rd place. She shoved the king-queen, and chip leader Huang called with queen-ten. The board brought both a ten and a queen, sending Zhang out for KRW 168,570,000 (~$117,350).

Heads-Up

Huang entered heads-up play with a dominant four-to-one chip lead over Junjie He. Junjie managed a double-up but couldn’t close the gap. In the final hand, He moved all-in with pocket queens, and Huang called with ace-four. Two aces on the flop sealed the win for Huang.

Junjie He earned KRW 240,123,000 ($167,160) as the runner-up, while Shengfa Huang claimed the RDPT Championship trophy and a career-defining KRW 360 million ($250,615) first-place prize.
