2024 is turning out to be a break-out year for the poker industry with major brands signing big name poker players as their brand ambassadors to promote poker and attract new audiences. Currently in the spotlight is PokerStars. The online poker giant has announced two new brand ambassadors in Caitlin Comeskey and Jason Koon. This announcement came during the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) in Las Vegas.
Both players are known for their exemplary skills and presence, and their association with PokerStars not only bolsters the brand’s image but also enhances the game’s reach and appeal worldwide. With these significant partnerships, PokerStars will be able to further solidify its presence as key player in the poker market and attract new players to the game.
Jason Koon is an American poker legend from West Virginia with impressive accomplishments in live and online tournaments. Introduced to the game in 2006, Koon got his first live cash in 2008 and since then has won more than 24 titles at prestigious festivals like WSOP, WPT, PokerGO, EPT, Triton Poker, SHRPO and several other international stops.
Koon’s career high score came in May 2018 when he won Triton Poker Super High Roller Series HK$1,000,000 Short Deck in Montenegro for $3,469,836. He won his first WSOP bracelet in 2021, shipping the $25K Heads-Up Championship for $243,981. The former GGPoker Ambassador has $58,018,907 in live earnings and is currently ranked 4th in Poker’s All-Time Money list. One of his most recent cashes came at Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro where he finished 6th in the $ 20,000 + 1,200 + 10,000 Pot Limit Omaha – Quatro Bounty (Event #16) for $ 51,000.
On the other hand, Comeskey is a popular comedic content creator who mixes humour with her poker play. Known for fun videos, she won the Global Poker Award for best short-form content creator and has a loyal following on social media.
Comeskey got her first cash in 2022 in the $600 No Limit Hold’em—Monster Stack at the Millionaire Spring Mayhem Poker Series and since then has amassed $259,881 in live tournament earnings. She has won two prestigious live titles with both coming this year. She claimed her first live title by winning the RUNGOOD Poker Series (RGPS) Ladies Ring Event for $ 5,022 in March 2024 and then followed that up with a win in the World Poker Tour (WPT Ladies Event) for $ 10,211 in April this year. She won her career-best score in 2022 by finishing runner-up for $60,035 in the $ 600 NLH The Monthly Monster at The Lodge Monthly Monster.
This dynamic duo is set to help PokerStars to build a more inclusive community, attracting and engaging players from all walks of life. Koon enjoys the respect of high-stakes players and serious enthusiasts. He will bring insights on high-stakes tournaments, strategy tips and much more, making PokerStars a go-to destination for those looking to elevate their game. Meanwhile, Caitlin Comeskey known for her fun poker content will add a fresh and fun dimension. KKPoker Signs Jon Kyte As The Newest Ambassador
Prior to this announcement by PokerStars, we saw popular poker platform KKPoker add Jon Kye to its roster of ambassadors to bolster its presence in the market.
With over $2.5M in live tournament cashes, Jon is a popular No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha poker player from Norway who is currently residing in Austria. Entering the live scene in 2016, Jon claimed his first live poker victory in the PLO 8-Max, and followed that up with back-to-back series titles including a first-place finish in the NLH 8-Max, proving his mettle in both formats. He then made big headlines in 2017 by winning the €2,200 NLH event for a massive €240,000 at the partypoker Nordic Poker Championships in Prague. 2022 saw him notch up a 4th place in the Eureka Main Event for an impressive €131,000. At the 2023 World Series of Poker (WSOP), he had a deep run in the Main Event, finishing 267th place out of 10,043 entries.
Just a few months later, Jon then finished runner-up in the EPT Prague Main Event, claiming €643,000, which remains his best score till date. He won his first EPT trophy in Prague in the H.O.R.S.E. event. Jon also scored a runner-up finish in the 2024 WSOP $2,500 Mixed: Omaha 8 or Better/Stud 8 or Better event for $148,000 and an impressive 4th place finish in the 2024 EPT Barcelona High Roller for €280,000.

According to Hendon Mob, he scored his first cash in December 2022, placing 12th at the Ring Event 6 at the World Series of Poker Circuit in Los Angeles and since then has gone on to win $760,000 in prize money. 2024 has been a big year for him as he became the WPT 2024 WPT Montreal Main Event champion and won $319,217 in top prize. He then followed that victory up with EPT Barcelona €5,200 8-Game title, winning €37,750.
