Women in Poker Hall of Famer Kathy Liebert triumphed at the Wynn Signature Series Ladies Event, securing her latest live poker victory after a decade. With this victory, Liebert is close to becoming the third woman to cross $7 million in live winnings after Vanessa Selbst and Kristen Foxen.
The $300 buy-in Ladies Event attracted 41 players with a guaranteed prize pool of $15,000, split among the top 5 finishers. While Liebert took the 1st place prize of $5,806, the other 4 players were: Coretta Ray (5th – $1,320), Amy Wingate (4th – $1,800), Marjorie Dacko (3rd – $2,512), and 2024 Wynn Summer Classic $600 Ladies Event winner Lisa Childers, finishing as the runner-up, taking $3,562.
This was the second final table finish for Liebert in the series as she also made a 6th-place finish in the $500 NLH Seniors Event in the Wynn Signature Series, taking $2,778.
Kathy Liebert was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame in 2010 and was a finalist for the Poker Hall of Fame for three consecutive years, starting in 2022. Liebert has many achievements in her 30-year poker career, including a WSOP bracelet win in 2004.
Besides the bracelet, she has made three WPT Main Event Final Tables and won the first-ever Limit Hold’em event with more than a $1 million prize pool.
It was also her most recent victory in a live tournament, as her last victory came in 2013 when she emerged victorious in a $140 Wynn Casino event, scoring $1,394. In 2022, she won her first WSOP Circuit ring in the WSOP Circuit Online Series, adding $18,641 to her winnings.
Liebert began this year with a $13,700 score in the $3,500 NLH Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship Event for her 44th-place finish.
