PM Modi Promises to Take Indian Gaming to Global

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that India will become a leader in the gaming industry. PM Modi has previously met some Indian Gamers and Streamers, where gets a deep insight about the gaming industry. In an Exclusive interview with IANS, PM Modi highlighted the potential of the gaming market and his commitment to supporting Indian gamers and developers.

In the interview, PM Modi commented “The Irony is that Indians are investing large amounts of money while others are making huge profits out of the gaming industry. I recently spoke with young gamers to understand their challenges. After the interaction, I told my government that I want to cement India’s leadership in the global gaming market”, reported by NDTV.

He emphasized the future prospects of the gaming market, noting its conclusion in the Olympics, and expressed his desire for Indian youth to actively participate in it. “There is a significant future market. Gaming has now become part of the Olympics, and I want Indian youth to participate in it.” 

In April, PM Modi met some Popular Indian gamers and streamers, Including Naman Mathur, Mithilesh Patankar, Animesh Agarwal, Payal Dhar, and others. In which they talked about the future of gaming in India, while also being cheerful. 

In FY23, the Indian gaming industry generated $3.1 billion in revenue, with a gaming audience exceeding 500 Million players. According to the Prime Minister, the emerging gaming industry has Fostered a skilled group of people from small towns and cities.
