Indian poker players continue to excel on the international stage. Just a few days after Harshdev Jhirmiria’s victory in Event #11 Mystery Bounty at Poker Dream 9 in Malaysia, India’s seasoned poker pro showcased remarkable skill and resilience at the 2024 Australian Poker Open (APO).

The 33-year-old player from Gurugram defeated a field of 338 entries in the Poker Palace Warm Up event at the Australian Poker Open (APO) 2024, securing  $34,475 from the $589,000 prize pool. This was the first live title of 2024 for Bansal and took his live earnings close to $800k.

Talking about the Poker Palace Warm Up event, this tourney featured a guarantee of $125,000 for a buy-in of $550. With four starting flights, players had multiple chances to enter the competition, leading to Day 2 taking place on April 6th, 2024. The event received an overwhelming response, collecting a whopping $589,000 in prize pool and making it a resounding success.
