Indian poker sensation Nishant Sharma continues to dominate the poker dream felts. The Mumbai poker pro has achieved an extraordinary milestone with his Poker Dream 13 Malaysia’s Main Event victory, claiming RM 930,800 (USD 208,325) from a staggering RM 6,048,144 prize pool and marking his highest poker dream score.
This victory cements Sharma’s status as a true legend in the Poker Dream series, marking his third consecutive Main Event win this year – a feat unmatched in the series’ history. Sharma’s historic run began in April this year with a victory at Poker Dream 10 Vietnam main event, where he took home $148,283. He followed that up in August with his second Main Event win in Malaysia, earning $ 183,517. With this latest triumph, Sharma becomes the only player to win three consecutive Main Event titles in Poker Dream history, making 2024 a banner year for his thriving live poker career.
Sharma completely dominated the just concluded Poker Dream 13 Malaysia felts, cashing an impressive five events and raking in MYR 1.285 Billion (INR 2.43 Crores). His latest victory in the MR 5 Billion GTD Main Event marked his third poker dream trophy of the series, following his previous victories in Event #16: Mystery Bounty and Event #14: Pot Limit Omaha. This latest victory not only highlights Sharma’s consistency and dominance but also sets a new benchmark for excellence in Indian poker. With the latest win, Sharma has taken his Poker Dream title tally to five, more than any other player in series’ history so far. Here is a quick look at his performances at the series:
>Won Event #13: Main Event – MR 930,800
>Won Event #16: MR 3,000 Mystery Bounty – MR 250,500
>Won Event #14: MR 2,000 Pot Limit Omaha – MR 23,200

Sharma entered the final day as the chip leader with 5.35 Million chips and made most of his chip advantage, exerting pressure on his opponents and eventually taking it down after beating Malaysia’s Chun Keat Liu ( MR 538,328) in heads-up.
Sharma’s victory achieved several milestones for India. This win not only secured Sharma his third consecutive main event title but also marked India’s fourth poker dream main event victory. Earlier this year in February, India’s star player Zaravan Tubmoli claimed the Poker Dream 8 Main Event title in Malaysia. Additionally, the victory took Sharma’s live tournament earnings to over $1.2 million, moving him to 8th place on India’s all All-Time Money list.
