Nikki Limo was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Her last name is Limosnero which she changed to “Limo” due to mispronunciation. Her parents, Benjamin and Darcy Limosnero, live in Santa Barbara. Her father is a Filipino, while her mother has Hawaiian roots.
From an early age, she loved playing different types of games, especially one board game—Scrabble. At the age of 8, Limo was introduced to poker because all of her friends wanted to play it as the adults were playing poker.
She and her friends began playing and ultimately she started playing with the adults. However, as they grew up, her friends stopped playing, but Limo continued. She continued playing low-stake cash games during college, but nothing was serious until the pandemic.
During the pandemic, Limo and her husband came to Vegas. She then started playing on online poker apps to kill time, and got introduced to “Game Theory Optimal” aka “GTO.” Limo stated, “I discovered the whole game theory thing and learned that there’s an entire field of study about playing poker well, which piqued my curiosity and honestly blew my mind.”
Nikki Limo’s Poker Career and Winnings
Limo has built an impressive track record in live poker tournaments, amassing total earnings of $182,909 from cashing in 39 events. Her journey began with a victory at the Orleans Hotel & Casino Recurring Tournaments in Las Vegas in 2022. Competing in a $100 NLH Super Stack Event, she finished 1st and took home a $2,442 cash prize.
She continued her momentum at the 53rd World Series of Poker in the summer of 2022, where she final-tabled Event #11: $600 NLH Deep Stack. Finishing in 4th place, earning a career-defining $116,568. In 2023, Limo continued participating in the WSOP and went on to score cash finishes in 4 events earning over $5k.

Inspired by poker vloggers like Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen, she skipped the traditional $1/$2 entry point and got straight into $2/$5 games, starting at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, where the buy-in cap was just $200.
Transitioning to Las Vegas, the deeper buy-ins shocked her but she remained committed, setting strict financial and time-based rules to maintain control. Her disciplined approach proved effective, as she managed to grow her entire bankroll from an initial $1,000 stake without burning her bankroll.

Nikki Limo’s Content Creation Journey
Nikki Limo began content creation in 2019 and has been creating vlogs, podcasts, and much more for over a decade. She started working in the YouTube comedy channel Totally Sketch, creating fun content before moving on to creating her own YT channel. She began by uploading a BTS vlog of her work as an actor and slowly began posting comedic skits.
Limo currently has over 528k subscribers on her first channel, and over 72k on her second channel where she mainly posts her vlog. Limo shifted to poker content creation in early 2024 and has since been making poker short vlogs, and comedic skits. She has over 158k followers on Instagram, making her one of the biggest poker shorts from creators. Limo recently was nominated for the 2024 BEST SHORT-FORM CONTENT CREATOR at the Global Poker Awards.
In late 2024, Limo also participated in PokerStars “The Big Game” where she played against the best poker players in the world. Although she failed to win the event, it gave her a big push in the game.

Beyond her poker career, Nikki Limo is also an accomplished actress and writer, with notable roles in Smiley (2012), How I Met Your Mother (2005), and Totally Sketch (2009). Limo is also an ambassador at Ignition Casino. During her time with Totally Sketch, she met her now-husband, Steve Greene.
