Nick Petrangelo emerged victorious in the 2024 Wynn Summer Classic $10,400 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, taking home a staggering prize money of $2.2 million.
Petrangelo recently finished in 13th place in the $100k buy-in High Roller at the 2024 WSOP, the two-time bracelet winner had no luck winning a bracelet at this year’s WSOP yet, but was able to score two major High Roller wins — he won the $50,200 buy-in High Roller for $775,000, and his recent victory came at Wynn Summer Classic.
The $10,400 Main Event attracted a top field of 1,440, surpassing the $10million guaranteed prize pool to $14 million. The top 183 finishers took a share from the massive prize pool.

Only 6 players returned to the final day of the Wynn Summer Championship. Rehman Kassam (6th – $457,511) and Kurt Jewell (5th – $616,553) were the first players to be eliminated. Turkey’s player Selahaddin Bedir earned a career-best $832,749 with his fourth-place finish.
Like other players, Lewis Spencer scored his highest tournament earnings yet with a deep run in this event, taking home $1,123,597 for his third-place finish.
The heads-up play lasted over 20 minutes until Nick Petrangelo emerged victorious. In the final hand of the tournament, Gustavo Ortega Jimenez went all-in with A-7, and Petrangelo called it with pocket fives. The luck was with Petrangelo, neither player connected with the board, and Petrangelo won the hand with his top pair. Jimenez was eliminated in 2nd place and earned $1,516,617.
With this victory, Petrangelo has now over $38 million in lifetime tournament earnings, placing him in 17th place on Hendon Mob’s all-time money list.
In the post-match interview, Petrangelo said that he is aiming to take a short break before heading to Europe and continuing his grind on Triton and PokerGo tournaments.
