The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is running full steam. Three more gold bracelets were claimed on Day 15 of the prestigious series, with Stephen Winters conquering a colossal 20,647-player field in Event #20: Gladiators of Poker NLHE to win his first WSOP gold bracelet & $401,210. The two other bracelet winners included Nick Schulman, who shipped Event #26: $25K High Roller NLHE (8-Handed) to claim his fifth bracelet and a career-best $1,667,842, and Michael Christ, who claimed his first bracelet and $306,884 by winning Event #27: $1.5K Big O. Nick Schulman Takes Down $25,000 Eight-Max To Win Fifth WSOP Bracelet
High-stakes poker pro and commentator Nick Schulman won his fifth bracelet as he took down Event #26: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em (8-Handed) at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2024, claiming $1,667,842 in top prize money. It was a special victory for the American poker pro, who not only earned his biggest-ever WSOP cash but also secured his first non-mixed game bracelet.
The victory was nothing short of spectacular as Schulman won a massive flip early at the final table to double through Noel Rodriguez before busting five of his opponents at the final table. Rodriguez was left with just two big blinds but somehow managed to finish runner up for an impressive $1,111,897.
The final table was a star-studded affair featuring David Stamm (4th for $529,833), Ben Heath (5th for $376,762), and six-time bracelet winner Shaun Deeb (8th for $153,302). The heads-up was reached after Dean Lyall’s exit in third place. His A-3 suited ran into A-K of Noel Rodriguez and he bowed out in 3rd for $760,083, setting up the heads-up with Schulman.
Schulman began heads-up with a 6:1 chip lead and it took just a single hand for him to convert his massive lead into the title. Schulman limped from the button for 400,000 with 10d 4c. Rodriguez checked with Jc 2c. The flop came down 10c 8c 2s. Rodriguez checked and Schulman bet with his top pair. Rodriguez check-raised to 1,300,000 with his flush draw. Schulman moved all-in and Rodriguez called. The 6s on the turn and 6h on the river kept Schulman ahead to win the coveted title.
The top 48 finishers shared the $7,473,000 prize pool in this event, with many big names running deep including ten-time bracelet winner Phil Ivey (22nd), recent $1,5000 shootout winner Daniel Sepiol (21st), bracelet winner Dan Smith (13th), and 2019 WSOP main event runner-up Dario Sammartino (10th).

Michael Christ Wins Event #27: $1,500 Big O To Claim His First Bracelet
The third and final day of Event #27: $1,500 Big O at the 2024 World Series of Poker concluded with Michael Christ emerging as the winner and claiming his first bracelet and $306,884 in top prize money.
The tournament drew 1,555 entries, creating a prize pool of $2,075,925. The top 234 players made the money. The third and final day saw 20 players return to the felts and Christ beat them all to win the title. He eventually outlasted Matthew Beinner, who walked away with $204,601 for his runner-up finish.
On the final hand of this tournament,, Michael Christ three-bet and Matthew Beinner moved all-in with Qd 8c 7s 6c 6d against 9s 9h 5s 4h 2s. The board ran out 8d 7h 2d 4c 9c, giving Christ a set to win the title.
There were plenty of notables among the 234 players who cashed in this tournament, with Frankie O’Dell (38th), Jake Schwartz (29th), Darryll Fish (28th), Nathan Gamble (15th), and Sammy Farha (11th) all falling before the final table.
