Kristen Foxen entered the final table as the short stack and showcased her top-notch poker skills to emerge victorious in Event #7 of the 2025 PokerGo Cup. Foxen secured her third career PokerGo title and a staggering payout of $348,300 for the victory. It was Foxen’s second win of the year, following her triumph in the 2025 PGT kickoff Event #5. Her latest victory pushed her career earnings past $9.4 million.

The $15,100 buy-in no-limit hold’em PokerGo Cup Event #7 drew a field of 86 players, generating a total prize pool of $1,290,000, which was distributed among the top 13 players. Here is a quick recap of the 2025 PGT PokerGo Cup Event #7.

2025 PokerGo Cup Event #7 Final Table Quick Recap

The final table was formed on February 19, with former WSOP Main Event champion and veteran Erik Seidel leading the charge with a 2.7 million chip stack. Patrick Leonard, who had been running hot in recent weeks, followed Seidel as the second in chips. Meanwhile, event champion Kristen Foxen entered the final table as the short stack.

Foxen doubled up to stay in contention, while the second-shortest stack, Eric Wasserson, couldn’t find any cards to save himself. The bracelet winner finished in 7th place, adding $51,600 to his earnings. Foxen continued playing top-notch poker, steadily climbing the chip ladder.

She then eliminated David Peters, who went all-in holding ace-queen against Foxen’s ace-four. Unfortunately for Peters, a four appeared on the flop, and another four on the river gave Foxen trip fours, sending Peters to the rail. Peters earned $64,500, adding to his already impressive $46 million in career earnings. Foxen then went all-in with ace-queen against Event #5 winner Sergio Aido, who called for his tournament life holding ace-four. This time, the ace-queen held up, sending Aido out in 5th place for $90,300. With this elimination, Foxen took the chip lead and began applying pressure on her opponents.

Erik Seidel, who had started the final table as the chip leader, found himself in the danger zone. Holding pocket queens, he shoved his remaining stack and was called by Farid Jattin, who held ace-jack. Jattin spiked an ace on the flop, eliminating Seidel in 4th place for a payout of $116,100.

The three-handed play between Jattin, Leonard, and Foxen began. Farid Jattin became the short stack and needed a double-up to stay alive. He looked down at king-queen and put his tournament life on the line. Foxen, from the button, made the call with ace-queen. The flop gave Jattin a Broadway straight draw, but it didn’t improve further, sealing his fate as the 3rd-place finisher for a payday of $161,250.

Heads-up

The heads-up duel began with Foxen holding 80% of the chips in play. Leonard fought back and narrowed the gap. He eventually went all-in holding ace-nine, and Foxen called with king-jack.
