The live poker scene has been buzzing and currently making headlines is the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC). The global poker brand recently wrapped up a successful stop of Circuit action with the WSOPC Choctaw series. Held at Choctaw Casino Resort from January 3 to January 14, 2024, the recently-concluded series featured an impressive 18 Ring events with buy-ins ranging from a modest $250 to $1,700 for the Main Event.
Among the several thrilling stories unfolding during the series, one that truly stood out was the remarkable journey of poker commentator Kasey Lyn Mills. She kicked off her WSOP Choctaw campaign in style by defeating 352 challengers in Event #13: $1,000 Monster Stack, earning her first WSOPC ring and a top prize of $66,000. Not content with just one win, Mills, who was a commentator on Stones Live Poker, continued her winning streak in Event #16: $400 No-Limit Hold’em – The Finale. She defeated a 322 entry-field in the event, securing her second ring and a $22,433 prize money.

To win her second ring, the Oklahoma native topped a final table that had two other female poker players in Jacqueline Gomez ($13,865) and Tetiana Zaitseva (($13,865) finishing in second and third places respectively. Mills had a packed rail cheering for her second ring victory but the biggest support was from her son. With these ring victories, she now has $303,944 in Hendon Mob earnings.
The next WSOP Circuit stop takes place at Thunder Valley Casino Resort from January 11-22. The festival will culminate with a $1,700 buy-in Main Event on January 19. Stay tuned in for more updates!
