After eight years as an ambassador for 888poker, Kara Scott has parted ways with the platform.
Scott, who was born in Canada but lived in the UK, USA, Italy and now Slovenia most of her life, joined as an 888poker ambassador in February 2016 and since then has been representing the brand in live and online poker events. During her stint with the platform, the multi-talented Scott has also helped them with long-lasting content for the platform’s social handles.
Scott, who had previously featured on Sky Poker, Sky Television, the European Poker Tour, High Stakes Poker, GSN, Poker Central, and the WSOP on ESPN, has several achievements to her name. One of the highlights during her tenure with the company was “The Heart of Poker” podcast, which aimed to make people fall in love with the poker personalities. The podcast did well, resonating well with the audience and leaving a lasting impression on them.
The Canadian TV host, presenter, and a talented poker player also featured heavily as the host of the monthly 888poker News show and the 888poker Brief during her role as an 888poker ambassador. In addition to her implacable presenting skills, Scott has some impressive live results to her name, including a runner-up finish in the €3,500 Irish Open Main Event in April 2009, where she pocketed €312,600 for her performance.
Scott also cashed in the 2008 and 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Although she had a limited time due to juggling between motherhood and content creation, she managed to take down the €220 Ladies Event at the 888poker LIVE Barcelona in June 2019. Watch the below video to get more insights into her life.
While Scott’s departure leaves a void, the 888poker still has a strong squad of ambassadors and streamers at their disposal, including YouTube sensation Jack Maate as the site’s Cultural Ambassador, Vivian Saliba, Alexandre Mantovani, and Spain’s Lucia Navarro as the ambassadors. The stream team of the brand comprises seven members, who include the likes of Ricardo Mateus, Josh Manley, Jordan Banfield, Nick Eastwood, Andrei Cosmin, Aaron Barone, and Leo Jokura.
