Jovan Kenjic Claims Victory In Mediterranean Poker Party High Roller
Jovan Kenjic hogged the spotlights of EPT Monte-Carlo for fourth place in the €5,300 Main Event for €340,500. Following that, he flew to the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel in Northern Cyprus and his decision paid off as he became the champion of the $10,400 Mediterranean Poker Party High Roller.
Out of 159 entrants, Kenjic ended Day 1 among chip leaders and managed to advance to the final table on Day 2. Following an intense fight, he lifted the trophy and won $365,000, his new best cash. He finally outlasted Aleksandr Kirichenko who pocketed an impressive $250,000 for his second place.
33 players returned for Day 2 with the $365,000 first-place prize in their minds. However, the first goal of the day for players was to find a spot in the 23 places in the money. Aleksandr Zubov was eliminated by Timo Kamphues’ aces on the money bubble. Andrey Pateychuk (23rd – $17,000), who lost with ace-jack against Aleksandr Kirichenko’s ace-king, was the first player to finish in the money.
Eliminations after that were quick and included Radoslav Stoyanov (22nd, $17,000), Roman Gadzhiev (21st, $18,500), Igor Pihela Jr (20th, $18,500), Nikita Kuznetcov (19th, $18,500), Ermanno Di Nicola (18th, $21,500), David Miscikowski (17th, $21,500), Gleb Tremzin (16th, $21,500). Samuel Ju (15th, $25,000), then Viktor Ustimov (14th, $25,000), and Mehdi Chaoui (13th, $25,000) all falling before FT.
The final Table was reached after the elimination of Kamphues (11th, $29,000) and Anatoly Nikitin (10th, $29,000). Stoyan Madanzhiev (8th, $45,000) and Ehsan Amiri (9th Place, $34,400) were the first two players to exit the final table and they were followed by Dmitry Zakharov (7th for $58,000), Anvar Muratov (6th, $75,000), Nikita Kalinin (5th for $95,000) and Michel Molenaar (4th, $122,000).
A few hands later, Poland’s Dziubdziela (3rd, $165,000) left the final table after Kenjic called his stack on the flop and hit two pairs on the turn to win the pot. The heads-up started with both Kirichenki and Kenjic starting the duel with even stacks. Following a back and forth battle, Kenjic was able to send Kirichenko to the rail to win the title. Kirichenko had to settle for a $250,000 prize for his second place.

Boris Kolev Goes From Six BBs To A Victory In EAPT Grand Final ($437,000)
Prior to Jovan Kenjic’s victory, Boris Kolev shipped the $2,200 Eurasian Poker Tour (EAPT) Grand Final, showcasing his exceptional skills and determination. After an epic 13-hour battle at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel and Spa last week, Kolev, who started the final table with just six big blinds, battled his way back to seize the coveted title and a staggering $437,000 payday after a heads-up deal.
His victory over Brazilian business owner Ueberton Cristian De Aquino in the final showdown earned him his second-largest career cash, taking his live tournament earnings past the $3.70 Million mark.
The EAPT Grand Final drew an impressive 1,565-strong field, crossing the $2 Million guarantee, generating a $3,004,800 prize pool. The final day saw 12 players return to the felts, with the former Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series CPPT Main Event champ Andrey Pateychuk starting with the third-largest stack.Despite challenges along the way, he was able to reach the final table.
Kolev, who started the final table with just six blinds, dominated the final stages. A few early double-ups for Kolev significantly shifted the momentum. After pros like Adrian Strobel, Artsiom Lasouski, and Dmitrii Levin exited, Christopher Puetz emerged as a strong contender but fell out in third place.
The heads-up duel between Kolev and Aquino lasted just a few hands. Starting with the chip lead, Kolev’s calculated aggression and smart moves ultimately sealed him the coveted EAPT Grand Final trophy.
