Two high-stakes events at the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei 2025 crowned champions in dramatic fashion, with poker legend Johnson Juanda capturing the Single Day High Roller title, and South Korea’s Chang Hwang Lee earning his first-ever APT trophy in the High Roller – Ultra Stack event.
Johnson Juanda Wins APT Taipei 2025 Single Day High Roller
Johnson Juanda emerged victorious in the Single Day High Roller at the Asian Poker Tour Taipei 2025. Indonesia’s all-time money leader added a massive $110,628 to his already impressive $26 million in career earnings, further extending his lead on Indonesia’s all-time money list.
This marks Juanda’s second career APT title. His first title came more than a decade ago at APT Manila 2010, where he won the $10K High Roller for $43,500.
The TWD 85,000 buy-in Single Day High Roller saw a record-breaking turnout of 230 entries, generating a prize pool of TWD 16,891,200 (~$523,179). The top 31 players finished in the money, including Natural8 Ambassador Punnat Punsri, who placed 7th for $18,677.
Ming Teh secured a podium finish and collected $52,531, while South Korea’s Myunghwan Han finished runner-up, earning $74,507 for his efforts.

Chang Hwang Lee Triumphs in High Roller – Ultra Stack
Chang Hwang Lee claimed his career-first APT title in the High Roller – Ultra Stack event, walking away with a life-changing $137,800 prize. After several deep runs at past APT stops, Lee finally broke through to capture the coveted trophy, pushing his live earnings past the $500K mark and placing him among South Korea’s top 50 all-time money leaders.
The TWD 75,000 buy-in event attracted a record-breaking 354 entries, creating a total prize pool of TWD 22,939,200 (~$707,062), crushing the previous 2024 event at APT Taipei Poker Classic record in terms of entries, prize pool and payouts.. The top 47 players made it into the money.
The final table featured a diverse international field. Hong Kong’s Jie Zhang finished in third place, collecting $65,700, while Irish player Gary Thompson was the runner-up, earning $87,700.
