The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise has concluded with its record-breaking $50 Million GTD Super Main Event crowning a winner in China’s Yinan Zhou, who walked away with a career-best $6 million in top prize money. Shining for India in the series was none other than the high-roller sensation Santhosh Suvarna, who not only cashed the super main event but also delivered two back-to-back final table finishes in the series.
Following his stellar 8th place finish for $209,420 (INR 1.78 Crores) out of the 130 total entrants in Event #13: $50K NLHE High Roller, the two-time WSOP bracelet winner continued his hunt for the third bracelet in Event #15: $5KThe Closer NLH Bounty Turbo where he fell just a few places shy of the coveted bracelet. His remarkable run ended in a pivotal hand against the eventual champion, Nick Schulman, whose jack-eight off-suit managed to beat Suvarna’s queen-ten off-suit, leading to Suvaran’s heart-breaking elimination in the 5th place for $50,800 (INR 43.21 Lakhs).
Currently ranked no.1 on India’s all-time money list, Suvarna not only delivered back-to-back final table finishes but also showcased his strategic brilliance in the $25K Super Main Event.
