Katie Lindsay grew up in a family that loved playing card games, especially 5 or 7 Card Stud and Draw. However, she wasn’t introduced to No-Limit Hold’em until the late-2000s.
Her introduction to NLH happened during the iconic victory of Chris Moneymaker at the 2003 World Series of Poker. She graduated from college around this time and began playing No-Limit Hold’em online in 2003 and 2004, honing her skills as a recreational player.
Although she played poker casually, she wasn’t initially interested in pursuing it professionally. Before becoming a full-time poker player, Lindsay worked in television production, particularly as a casting director.
She eventually left the television industry to chase her poker dreams, a decision that paid off.
Katie Lindsay: Poker Career Highlights and Winnings
Katie Lindsay’s first live tournament cash came in 2013 when she finished in the money at the 44th WSOP $1,100 NLH event, earning $2,774. That same year, she also cashed in the Eureka Main Event for $2,809.
At the 2015 World Series of Poker, Lindsay made a deep run, finishing 44th in the $1,500 NLH Millionaire Maker for an impressive $29,463. She capped off that year with her first live poker victory, taking down a $750 NLH Main Event for $50,000.
Lindsay continued to rack up small tournament cashes, but her next big score came in 2018, when she earned $27,918 for a podium finish at the DeepStack Extravaganza III $1,100 NLH.
A few months later, she took down the DeepStack Extravaganza IV $600 NLH, pocketing another $50,145. In 2019, she added a Wynn Poker trophy to her name by winning the Wynn Fall Classic $400 NLH for $27,000.
In 2020, during the online WSOP Circuit, she finished 4th in the $1,000 NLH Grand Finale High Roller for $23,249. The following year, at the 2021 WSOP Circuit Winter Online, she finished 2nd in the $215 NLH Re-Entry, earning $14,443.
She followed this up with a strong live cash in the WPT at Venetian Main Event, banking $16,685. Lindsay then landed on the podium at the WSOP Circuit Spring Super Series $1,000 NLH High Roller, collecting $23,749.
She continued her run with a 4th-place finish in the DeepStack Championship Poker Series $1,100 NLH UltimateStack, earning $43,418. She wrapped up her 2021 campaign with a 15th-place finish at the Wynn Winter Classic $5,300 NLH Championship for $40,114.
In March 2022, Lindsay participated in the $10K NLH Wynn Millions Event during the Wynn Millions Poker Series, where she earned $62,857 for her 26th-place finish. In August of the same year, she claimed her first WSOP Circuit gold ring, winning the WSOP Circuit Online Series $215 NLH DeepStack Turbo for $15,324.
She also finished 4th in the $525 NLH Main Event 8-Max Online of the same series, earning $20,674. While she continued to cash in various events through 2023, she did not record any standout finishes.
In 2024, Lindsay scored her first Triton Poker cash at the Triton Poker SHRS Jeju $25,000 NLH GG Millions, earning $43,500. She ended the year with a career-best score of $102,915 after winning the Caribbean Poker Series $1,500 NLH Main Event.
Her recent results in 2025 include a 25th-place finish at the Enjoy Poker Tour $1,100 NLH Second Chance for $1,890. As of now, Katie Lindsay has accumulated over $887,000 in live tournament earnings from 221 cashes. According to her ACR bio, she has also surpassed $2 million in online poker winnings.

Before committing to poker full-time, Lindsay worked in TV production. After leaving the entertainment industry, she shifted to the poker business, working as an agent representing several A-list poker players during the mid-2000s.
