€12,300 Cuatro Knockout Event Final Table Recap and Standings
The final table was set after a grueling 10-hour battle among the 62 players. Byron Kaverman was the short stack of the final table, while Ottomar Ladva held the chip lead, and Steve O’Dwyer was in the middle of the pack.
Despite being the short stack, Kaverman doubled up through Santhosh Suvarna, saving his tournament life. It wasn’t the same for another short-stack player, Ian Bradley, as he couldn’t survive. Chip leader Ottomar Ladva sent Bradley to the rail on the money bubble.
Before the next elimination, O’Dwyer, Kaverman, and Suvarna started climbing the chip ladder. O’Dwyer won a massive pot against Ladva, taking over the chip lead.
Santhosh Suvarna crossed the 1 million chip mark after winning the pot against Martin Zamani. Later, in a crucial hand, Zamani shoved with A-Q against Suvarana’s pocket sevens. The community cards couldn’t help Zamani, sending him out on the 8th for €21,500.
Suvarna soon knocked out Brazilian player Fabiano Kovalski in 7th place (€26,900), securing another bounty. Joakim Andersson busted out in 6th place (€34,900), after going all-in in a three-way pot against Santhosh Suvarna and Byron Kaverman. Kaverman won the hand, ending Andersson’s deep run.
Ottomar Ladva, who entered the final table as chip leader, was soon left with less than 3 BBs. He put the last of his chip in the middle with A-3, and Suvarna called it with K-J. The board came out 7-3-5-4-J, and Suvarna won the hand with his top Jack. Ottomar Ladva exited the tournament in 5th place, collecting €45,700.
David Coleman, holding K-6, went all in getting called by Steve O’Dwyer, who was holding K-9. The board came out K-Q-J-A-8, and Suvarna said it was a chop. But, unfortunately, O’Dwyer K-9 won the hand, sending out Coleman in 4th place, receiving €59,100.
Steve O’Dwyer went all-in with 10-8, and Suvarna called it with his pocket nines. Suvarna was ahead of O’Dwyer in post-flop, but O’Dwyer hit a 10 on the board, taking the lead. The turn and the river couldn’t help Suvarna. Santhosh Suvarna bowed out in 3rd place, earning €77,900.
Steve O’Dwyer was ahead of Kaverman in the chip lead, so he quickly moved all in with Ac-9h, and Byron Kaverman called it with Ad-2h. The board ran out A-9-Q-4-J, and Kaverman finished as the runner-up for €107,400.
