The grandest event of the series, DPT Grand Championship, kicked off and the excitement continues with the second of the three starting flights kicking off in a while at 1PM today.
This is a four-day poker extravaganza. The event kicked off yesterday with Day 1A drawing a modest field of 86 entries. Following seventeen 30-minute levels of play, the opening flight of the event wrapped up with 11 players advancing to Day 2. Rising star Ritwik Khanna ended the day as the chip leader with a massive stack of 354k chips. Trailing him were Nitesh Baliyan and Goldi C with 325k and 294k stacks, respectively.
The action continues with Day 1B on October 26th, Day 1B today (October 26), which will be followed by Day IC tomorrow (October 27) and climactic Day 2 on October 28th at 1:00 PM. With a buy-in of INR 60,000, players begin with 30,000 chips, battling through 30-minute levels until reaching the money on Day 1 flights, while Day 2 features 40-minute levels leading to the final table.
Late registration is available until the start of Level 10 on each Day 1 flight, offering plenty of opportunity to join in. With blinds starting at 100-200 and a 200 ante, this tournament offers a generous structure and ample playtime. Around 12.5% of the field will make it to the payout stages, ensuring competitive action as players chase the coveted bracelet and the grand title.
