The inaugural PGT Kickoff series belongs to David Coleman! On Monday, he clinched his second PGT title of the series. Coleman took down the thrilling Kickoff Event #4, taking home $73,800. This was his fourth consecutive final table in four events and took his winnings from the series to $294,800.

In addition to the top prize, Coleman secured 148 points, skyrocketing to 590 points on the PGT Leaderboard and cementing his position for the leaderboard victory. This massive lead places him far ahead of Dylan Weisman, who currently ranks second with 265 PGT points in the leaderboard race.

Coleman’s journey in the PGT Kickoff  Event #4: $5,100 No-Limit Hold’em was nothing short of extraordinary. He started his fourth consecutive final table as the chip leader, and although there were a few hiccups, he bounced back and emerged victorious from a star-studded 41-entry field.

  1. Total Entries: 41
  2. Prize pool: $205,000
  3. Places Paid: 6

After briefly losing the chip lead early when his KQ lost to AJ of Nikita Kalinin, Coleman quickly bounced back when his A3 out-flopped AJ of Victoria Livschitz to bust her in sixth place for $12,300.

Justin Bonomo was the next player to fall with his pocket queens running into the pocket kings of Jeremy Becker. Bonomo went out in fifth place for $16,400, his first cash of the 2024 PGT Season. He was followed by Nikita Kalinin (fourth place – $22,550)  and Jeremy Becker (third place – $30,750).

The heads-up play was a short-lived one lasting for just two hands. The final hand was a thrilling one as it saw Coleman coming from behind. Coleman got it in with K3 in response to a Ustimov open. Ustimov snap-called with AK, seemingly looking in good shape. However, a three on the flop changed things. The turn and river bricked out, eliminating Ustimov and giving Coleman the coveted title.

Coleman has been a dominating force in this series. Before his Event #4 victory, he won Event #1 for $120,150, placed fifth in Event #2 for $31,500, and clinched a runner-up spot in Event #3 for $69,350.
