Call, Raise, Conquer! Chanda Davis Wins WSOPC Tunica Mini Main

Women continue to make waves on the live poker felts. Currently in the spotlight is Chanda Davis, who topped a competitive field of 1,434 entries in the World Series of Poker Circuit Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main, claiming a career-best $70,110 and her first-ever WSCOP-C ring. The latest win marked her career’s second liver poker title and took her live poker tournament earnings to more than $95K.

The WSOP-C Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em Mini Main drew an impressive 1,434 challengers across four starting flights and generated $473,220 in prize pool, which was finally shared by the top 197 players.

Day 2 of the biggest event at the Horseshoe – Tunica WSOP Circuit series saw 74 players led by Jeffrey Wynn. Chanda Davis played some top-notch poker and quickly built her stack through well-timed calls and aggressive play. She continued her momentum and won a big pot by calling a pre-flop all-in with pocket eights against pocket sevens.

From there on, there was no looking back for her. She took the chip leader in early hours of the final table but lost two-thirds of her stack to eventual runner-up Dominic Brazier after running her pocket queens to the aces of Brazier.

However, she did not give up and bounced back to regain the chip lead and become Horseshoe-Tunica’s newest WSOP Circuit champion. Talking about her recent victory, she said, “This is a dream of mine,” Davis shared. “I’ve studied, I’ve watched the pros play, and I’ve received tips from all of the people I’ve gotten to meet.”
