The 2024 World Series of Poker 2024 continues to make records after records. While many players are winning big at the WSOP, some players are finding success outside this prestigious festival. Both Brock Wilson and Ori Hasson won big outside of the prestigious WSOP, which boosted their morale as well as their winnings. Brock Wilson Wins WPT Alpha8 Trifecta Event for $571,400

Event 1 of the $25k buy-in NLHE in the World Poker Tour Alpha8 Trifecta at Wynn Las Vegas concluded on June 26. This two-day high roller event attracted 78 entries, all aiming to win the prize money and a seat at the 2024 WPT Main Event. This event generated a staggering prize pool of $1,864,200, which was distributed among the top 10 players.

Brock Wilson emerged victorious after an intense two-day battle, taking home his second-biggest payout of $571,400. Wilson’s career tournament earnings have surpassed $8.4 million with this victory. 

$25,00 WPT Alpha8 Trifecta Event #1 Final Table Recap and Standings 

The final table was filled with notable poker pros, including bracelet winner Brian Kim (9th), recent bracelet winner Daniel Sepiol (7th), David Coleman (6th), 2023 Triton Monte Carlo main event champion Matthias Eibinger (4th), and two-time bracelet winner Artur Martirosian (3rd). 

By winning this event, Wilson has positioned himself as a frontrunner to compete in the 2024 WPT World Championship, scheduled at Wynn Las Vegas. The top eight qualifiers who accumulate points from results across the three $25k WPT Alpha8 Trifecta events over the next three weeks will each earn a $10k seat for December. The second Trifecta tournament is scheduled for July 3-4, and the third will run from July 10-11.

Ori Hasson wins the Mystery Bounty Event at the Wynn Summer Classic for $830,000 

Ori Hasson won an impressive $830,070, combining $460,570 in prize money with an additional $369,500 in bounties, as the champion of the Mystery Bounty event at the Wynn Summer Classic. With this victory, Hasson’s live tournament winnings exceeded over $1.8 million.

The $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em Mystery Bounty event attracted a staggering field of 2,598 entries across four starting flights. As a result, the $3 million guaranteed prize pool extended to over $5 million. The $5 million prize pool was distributed among the top 322 finishers

The final table was filled with players from around the world, such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and France. Giovanni Zanette from South Africa was eliminated in 3rd place, earning his career-best live earnings of $268,822, boosting his lifetime earnings to over $1 million.

Damien Gayes from France finished as the runner-up, and achieved the largest cash of his career, earning $423,536. With this prize money, his total tournament winnings is over $600k.
