The poker couple Alex Foxen and Kristen Foxen started the year on a grand note with each winning a poker tournament to kick off their 2024 campaign. The couple recently showcased their skills in the $25,500 buy-in no-limit hold’em high roller in the Lucky Hearts Poker Open (LHPO) at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The husband Alex Foxen defeated a field of 50 entrants in the prestigious tournament to win an impressive $426,075 in the top prize. Notably, the victory came just a few days after Kristen won Event #5 of PokerGo Tour 2024 by defeating Daniel Negreanu in the heads-up.
The wife also ran deep in the $25k LHPO High Roller and finished in the 4th place for a prize of $117,325. The high roller attracted a large number of seasoned poker pros such as Kevin Rabichow. Kevin Rabichow clashed it with Alex Foxen in the heads up but could not go all the way, ending up as the runner-up for a $284.050 prize money. On the final hand, Rabichow held QJ offsuit against the pocket jack of Foxen. The board ran out Ac Ah 7h 4c 9h where jacks held up and Rabichow was eliminated in second with a nice payday worth $284,050. Foxen took home the top prize of $426,075 along with his third LHPO guitar pick trophy.
There are many more exciting poker tournaments to happen in the coming months where we will see the couple in action. It would be interesting to see how good this year goes for the Foxen family, after winning two tournaments in the beginning of 2024.
