The spotlight in Las Vegas is currently on the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP), but it is the only live poker festival running in town. The 2025 Wynn Summer Classic running from May 21 is also delivering high-octane action, attracting a large number of elite players. The high-octane festival has already seen several big winners, with India’s high roller sensation Santhosh Suvarna being the latest player to etch his name in the elite list of 2025 Wynn Summer Classic champions.

The WSOP 2024 Super High Roller champion overcame a field of 79 entries in the $10,500 NLH Progressive Knockout, earning $114,165 for first place + $98,000 in bounties for total winnings of $212,165! This happens to be the biggest score by an Indian in Vegas this year so far.

This was Santhosh Suvarna’s first trophy of 2025 coming after a heads-up deal with Spain’s Ignacio Moron, who earned the same $114,165 prize. The latest score added to his impressive results this year. Suvarna kicked off the year on a strong note with an impressive run at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju where scored three cashes, highlighted by $ 2,140,000 that he scored for a 4th place in the $100k Main Event.

Suvarna carried his momentum into the Triton Poker in Montenegro, scoring  five impressive cashes, including a standout $643,000 payday for his 7th place finish in the Main Event. Continuing his hot streak, he kicked off his Vegas campaign with a cash worth $50K in the $25K No-Limit Hold’em High Roller at the ongoing WSOP 2025. And now, he has etched his name in history as the first Indian champion in Las Vegas this summer.

Santhosh Suvarna is already India’s all-time money leader and the latest win further solidifies his position, taking his live earnings to $18,870,012.
