It’s been an action-packed week in the world of high-stakes poker, with two major events crowning new champions. At King’s Resort Rozvadov, Germany’s Maggu outlasted a fierce field in the prestigious King’s MILLION PLO to claim a career-best score, while across the Atlantic, Joshua Reichard added another feather to his already impressive cap by shipping the $10K DeepStack at the 2025 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown(SHRPS).
Germany’s Maggu Wins King’s MILLION PLO
King’s Resort Rozvadov recently crowned its newest MILLION PLO Champion — Maggu. Germany’s Maggu emerged as the winner following a three-way deal with two Danish pros. For his victory, Maggu collected a six-figure score of €150,625, while the other two also took home hefty payouts.
The €1,100 buy-in King’s MILLION PLO Event featured a €1 million guarantee, which unfortunately wasn’t met, as 775 players entered, creating a total prize pool of €850,000. Twenty-four players made it to the final day, battling it out for the top prize.
When the final table kicked off, it was Germany’s Maggu leading the charge, followed by Lukáš Záškodný. Unfortunately, Záškodný was eliminated in 4th place, collecting €54,000. Following his elimination, the remaining three players — Maggu, Mikkel Frimer Plum, and Kristoffer Skipper Rasmussen — agreed to an ICM deal to split the remaining payout.
Soon after the deal, all three players moved all-in. Kristoffer led the flop with bottom two pairs, while the other two flopped one pair each. Plum had a king pair, while Maggu spiked a ten. The river brought a queen, giving Maggu the best two-pair to seal the victory. Plum picked up €92,355, and Kristoffer banked €85,520 for his podium finish.
