Daniel Negreanu is widely regarded as one of the greatest No-Limit Hold’em (NLH) tournament players with seven World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets to his name. Each year, Negreanu shares his schedule for the prestigious World Series of Poker. DNEG Poker recently released his ambitious plans for the 2025 WSOP to play up to 53 events, the Seniors Event.
In 2024, the current Canada’s All-Time Money list leader Negreanu made a remarkable comeback at the WSOP after losing over $2 million across two consecutive years. The Canadian poker pro showcased top-tier play and went on to win his seventh career bracelet by capturing the title in the 2024 WSOP Event #58: $50K Poker Players Championship. This summer, he will be aiming for his eighth WSOP bracelet.
Daniel Negreanu’s 2025 WSOP Schedule
Compared to 2024 when he planned to play in 45 events, Negreanu plans to participate in 53 events at the 2025 WSOP this summer. However, he clarified, “I won’t end up playing this many events; this is just the list of events I could play if I’m not still in another tournament.” In 2024, he initially planned to play around 45 events and played over 30 events. This year, he aims to play as many events as possible in pursuit of his eighth career bracelet.
The total buy-ins for these events exceed $925K, and Negreanu also hinted at potential rebuys, which could push the total past $1 million. He mentioned that he would register late for some tournaments and take breaks if needed. His schedule also includes two planned rest days.
Now that he is over 50-years-old, the GGPoker ambassador Negreanu is also eyeing participation in the newest WSOP event, Battle of the Ages this summer. While most of his peers, like Phil Hellmuth, avoid playing in so many events, Daniel Negreanu’s passion for poker drives him to compete and make waves with strategic brilliance.
Daniel Negreanu’s 7th Bracelet Victory
Daniel Negreanu’s 7th bracelet came after waiting for more than a decade. Negreanu triumphed in the WSOP 2024 Event #58: $50k Poker Players Championship, securing his career 7th gold bracelet, along with a $1,178,703 payout. The 50-year-old player navigated a small and star-studded field of 89 entries and defeated US’s Bryce Yockey for the victory.
Besides this, he managed to cash in over 20 WSOP events, both online and live. Negreanu also participated in the 2024 WSOP Paradise, and scored two final table finishes in Event #10 & #15: earning over $100k for finishing 8th and 4th, respectively.
Negreanu has started his 2025 in style, winning his career 10th PGT title at the 2025 PGT Mixed Games and is looking forward to making waves at WSOP 2025. We wish him all the best.
