The $10,300 buy-in GGMillon$ Main Event played on GGPoker has culminated with Austrian poker pro Bernhard Binder becoming the newest champion and claiming a career-best $1.8 million in top prize.
This week-long event drew an impressive 1,226 entries, comfortably crushing its advertised $10,000,000 guarantee and generating a whopping $12,260,000 in the final prize pool. In the end, the largest chunk of this prize pool went to Bernhard Binger, who pocketed $1,834,484 after outlasting a star-studded final table of online crushers.
Bernhard Binder’s journey to victory was nothing short of extraordinary as he had to battle against the likes of Ole Schemion, Roman Hrabec, Pedro Neves, Pablo Silva and Martin Finger at the final table that was played on Tuesday night and lasted for about three hours.
Every player at the final table was assured a minimum $214,057, with $1,832,484 reserved for the winner. Bernhard Binder started as the chip leader but faced several ups and downs during his final table journey. However, he was able to recover and rebuild his stack to reach the heads-up against Martin Finger. The latter, who busted Pablo Silva in third place with flush over flush, started the duel as a clear favourite due to his long experience and massive stack. He started the final battle with a massive stack of 88.6 million chips against Binder’s 31.3 million stack but lost his lead quickly in the 30-minute heads-up.
Bernhard Bernhard Makes Epic Heads-Up Comeback
Starting the heads-up far behind Finger, Bernhard Binder played aggressively and closed the gap in no time. He continued to build his stack and was 3 to 1 up when the final hand arrived. Down to 30 bbs, Finger opened holding 8s 8c and Binder put him all-in with As Qd. The board ran out 4c 4h Qc 10d 9h where Binder flopped a queen to complete his first GGMillion$ final table with a career-defining victory.

Binder took home the coveted winner’s prize and Martin Finger had to settle in second place. He pocketed $1,338,110 for his runner-up finish.
