The 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Pompano Beach has officially concluded crowning its main event champion in Art Peacock who overcame a large field of 914 entrants to claim his maiden WSOPC ring and the $230,794 top prize. During this prestigious series, we saw several big stories emerge, including that of Maurice Hawkins who etched his name in history by claiming his career’s 17th WSOP ring. Another big story was Jacquelyn Scott who took down the final event of the series, becoming the third female champion of the series.
Maurice Hawkins Claims 17th WSOP Circuit Ring With Straight Flush
The 2025 Circuit Pompano Beach marked a pivotal moment in Maurice Hawkins’ career as he claimed 17th ring of his career with a victory in WSOPC Harrah’s Pompano Beach $400 40/40/40 Grand Master NLH event, surpassing Daniel Lowery (16 rings) and Joshua Reichard (15 rings). With the latest win, he moved to second place on the all-time WSOPC rings leaderboard and now trails only 18-time winner, Ari Engel.

The 45-year-old Maurice Hawkins claimed his first WSOPC ring 2008 and since then he has claimed 17 rings with five of them coming in main events alone. After the latest win, he now has $6,085,878 in live earnings.
On his way to victory in the WSOPC Pompano Beach Event #15: $400 Grand Master 40/40/40, Hawkins topped a field of 208 entries and overcame Brian Stine in heads-up. On the final hand, he hit a straight flush, claiming the title for $16,137 and his career’s 17th WSOPC ring.
In addition to the top prize, Hawkins won a seat to the 2025 WSOPC tournament of champions – a trip he is looking forward to. Stine took home $10,448 for his remarkable second place in the tournament.
The WSOPC Pompano Beach Event #15: $400 Grand Master 40/40/40 generated $68,640 in prize pool and top 32 players shared the prize pool. The largest share of the prize pool went to the final table players who included the likes of WSOPC ring winner Russ Head (7th place for $1,917) and WSOP bracelet winner David Moses (8th place for $1,515).

Jacquelyn Scott Wins Final Event of WSOPC in Pompano Beach
The final event of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit in Pompano Beach was Event #18: $400 No-Limit Hold’em double stack. Sporting a buy-in of $400, the event drew a total of 231 entrants for a prize pool of $76,230, which was shared by top 35 players. After nearly 12 hours, it was Jacquelyn Scott who emerged victorious, becoming the third female champion of the recently-concluded WSOPC series in Pompano Beach.
Prior to Jacquelyn Scott’s victory in the recent WSOPC series, we saw Cindy Spier claim victory for $21,470 in Event #4: $400 Seniors Event, and Janet Fitzgerald win Event #12: $300 Ladies Event for $6,190.
Jacquelyn Scott took home an impressive $17,492 and her maiden WSOPC ring. Already a bracelet winner, she is no stranger to winning big at WSOP. In 2015, she topped a large field of 713 entries in the $1k Ladies event for her first WSOP bracelet and $153,876 – her career best score to date. Since then she has amassed over $400,000 in live earnings.
