Dhaval Mudgal needs no introduction. Coming from a well-known family, he is the son of renowned classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal and a seasoned poker professional with several remarkable achievements on the poker felts. A musician-turned poker pro, he made history as the first-ever WPT Vietnam Main Event champion in 2018 and led Goan Nuts in PSL Season 2 under his captaincy that same year. He has also been associated as a team pro with several major poker brands, playing a key role in refining their tournament structures and enhancing software to elevate player experience.
Dhaval Mudgal – His Live and Online Poker Achievements
Hailing from the capital city of Delhi, Dhaval Mudgal has crushed both online and live poker felts for more than a decade. His career-best live cash came in 2018 when he won the inaugural WPT Vietnam Main Event for $104,418. Over the years, he has accumulated an impressive $771,125 in live earnings, with over 10 live titles, including multiple APT titles, victories at WPT, USOP, APPT, and Poker Dream along with a couple of live titles at home turf. 2024 was a memorable year for him as he won several live titles and finished runner-up for $23,941 in the APT Taipei Poker Classic Single Day High Roller, proving once again why he is one of the best in the game.
In addition to his achievements on the live felts, Mudgal has also built an impressive online resume with plenty of marquee online event victories to his name. His career-best online score came in 2023 when he won the IOPC #31 – 2 Crore GTD Blaze on Spartan Poker for INR 35,27,539. Mudgal has continued to crush online felts, recently shipping Adda52’s Big Whale for a hefty INR 8,83,142, and Adda52 Millions for INR 4.89 Lakh in December 2024, along with a Sunday Head Hunter victory worth INR 3,33,018.
An avid pet lover with a keen interest in reading, Mudgal has traveled all across the world for poker and was the MPL Poker Pro before joining Pocket52 as a team pro. With several prestigious live and online victories under his belt, Mudgal is one of the best poker players in India. As an ace poker player and a great ambassador of the game, he continues to inspire the next generation of players with his passion and hunger for excellence.
