Running from January 9th to the 21th, the 2025 Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open(LHPO) was a great way to kickoff 2025. The 54-event live series received an overwhelming response from poker players, drawing over 12,531 entries and distributing a massive $11,689,310 in primary events alone to make it third-biggest in LHPO history.

There were several big stories unfolding at the series, with the $3,500 buy-in LHPO Championship being the top highlight. The $2,000,000 GTD tournament drew an impressive 1,162 entries for a prize pool of $3,718,400. Martins Adeniya topped the field to earn $513k, plus the LHPO Championship trophy. Taylor Wilson, who won $511,900 the $25K LHPO High Roller, was the other big winner of the  recent LHPO series.

Shamica Lamar Wins Event 45 of 2025 Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open

Among women, the biggest story to emerge was that of Shamica Lamar, who shipped Event 45 of the 2025 Lucky Hearts Poker Open. This $400 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em event had a $200k guarantee and ran from January 19th to 21st, drawing a guarantee-busting field of 628 entries over three flights and generating a prize pool of $207,240.

The tournament eventually ended in a heads-up chop between Shamica Lamar and Maurice Hawkins, with Lamar ultimately prevailing to win her second SHRP major series trophy and an impressive $28,990. The latest win was her fourth final table score in the recent-conluded LHPO 2025.

Lamar’s first SHRP series trophy came in July 2022 when she topped a field of 66 entries to take down the $300 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em event at the 2022 SHRP for $5,000 in top prize money. The latest win marked her fourth cash of 2025 and overall 14th live career title. With the latest victory,  Shamica Lamar’s live tournament earnings  stand at $400,207, impressive enough considering that she scored her first cash in 2018.

Also on the final table of the event was Indian-origin Raminder Singh. He made a strong impact, claiming the sixth-place finish and earning $7,500. Notably, Singh tops the all-time SHRPO win list with a record 13 victories.
