The ongoing World Series of Poker ( WSOP ) Paradise is currently running inside the luxurious Atlantis Bahamas. Here, we delve into the recent big winners of the prestigious series –, Stephen Chidwick, Mike Gorodinsky and Lei Yu, who won Event no. 10, 8, and 6, respectively.

While it was the first bracelet for the Chinese pro Lei Yu in Event #6 of the 2024 WSOP Paradise, Mike Gorodinsky and Stephen Chidwick added another bracelet to their name.

UK’s Stephen Chidwick Wins 2024 WSOP Paradise Pot-Limit Omaha Championship Title 

Stephen Chidwick has further cemented his position among the elite players, securing his career second WSOP bracelet at the 2024 WSOP Paradise. Chidwick Won the $50k PLO Championship, outlasting other high-stakes pros for the victory.

The $50k buy-in pot-limit omaha championship saw a turnout of 122 players in three-day poker action, generating a total prize pool of $6,100,000. 18 players made it into the money, which included several popular names, seventeen-time bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth (14th), Scott Seiver (11th), Artur Martirosian (10th), Michael Watson (9th), and Sam Greenwood (8th). 

While they failed to reach the final table other bracelet winners such as Pascal Lefrancois (7th), Benny Glaser (6th), Dylan Weisman (5th), and the 2024 WSOP $25k PLO High Roller winner Nick Schulman (4th) made it into the final table. PLO specialist Ben Tollerene who previously made a runner-up finish in Event #3: $100k PLO Super High Roller ended up in 3rd place to score another six-figure score of $746,790.

The heads-up began between Stephen Chidwick and Yang Wang, with both of them having an even stack. The heads-up lasted for almost two hours, with the chip lead swinging back and forth between the pros. Just a few hands before the final hand, Chidwick took the lead and sealed the win with his pocket aces. China’s Yang Wang took the 2nd place securing a career-high payday of $1,006,680 surpassing $3 million in earnings.

Mike Gorodinsky Wins 2024 WSOP Event #10: $10K Paradise PLO 

The $10k buy-in Paradise pot-limit Omaha crowned a winner in Mike Gorodinsky, who overcame a field of 200 players and took home a hefty $393,250 and his fourth bracelet for the victory. 

This one-day turbo event generated a $2 million prize pool, which was shared by the top 30 players. The field saw plenty of big names vying for the bracelet, including Vanessa Selbst, Phil Helmuth, Issac Haxton, Sean Winter, Fedor Holz, Shaun Deeb, and Stephen Chidwick. 

Some popular names also made it into the money, such as the recent $100k Triton Main Event winner Alex Foxen (25th), seven-time bracelet winner Scott Seiver (23rd), recent bracelet winner Eric Wasserson (20th), Chris Brewer (19th), Triton Poker ambassador Danny Tang (17th), and EPT Main Event Champion Artur Martirosian (10th). 

The poker hall of fame Daniel Negreanu made it into the final nine, vying for his 8th bracelet after his 7th bracelet victory in this summer, but couldn’t get past the 8th place. Michael Watson was eliminated in 6th, while Roman Hrabec finished in 3rd place. 

The heads-up was kicked off between two WSOP Player of the Year receivers – Daniel Zack (2022) and Mike Gorodinsky (2015).It took just a few hands for Gorodinsky to become a four-time bracelet winner. On the final hand, Gorodinsky rivered a straight to crack Zack’s set of aces. Zack was denied his fourth bracelet, but he took home $291,680 for the runner-up finish. Gorodinsky collected $393,250 for his victory, bringing his earnings to $5 million.

China’s Lei Yu Takes Down 2024 WSOP Paradise Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em 

China’s Lei Yu secured his inaugural gold bracelet by winning Event #6: $5,000 DeepStack No-Limit Hold’em at the 2024 WSOP Paradise, banking a career-high payday of $293,050. With this victory, he now has over $1.3 million in earnings.

363 players registered for the $5k no-limit hold’em deep stack, building up a prize pool of $1,815,000 million, paid to the top 51 players. As with any other WSOP event this event also attracted bracelet winners, such as the 2019 WSOP Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan (40th), Ylon Schwartz (22nd), Nick Maimone (20th), and Frank Brannan (19th).

Bracelet winner Vlad Darie made it into the final five but fell shy of the podium finishing 4th to collect $134,210. Lithuania’s Rokas Asipauskas finished 3rd, cashing in his first live WSOP event for $174,050. Lei Yu faced Slovenia’s young gun Blaz Zerjav in the heads-up, with a slight chip lead. The role was reversed a few times, but Yu took the lead before the final hand was dealt.

On the final hand, Yu three-bet all in Zerjav on the flop 8s-6s-5s with his As-Ad. Zerjav snap called revealing his 8c-7c. The turn 8s gave Zerjav a set, but the 4s gave Yu a nut flush to claim his maiden bracelet. Zerjav ended the tournament with a payday of $255,070.
