WSOP Circuit Cherokee: Cherish Andrews Wins 4th Ring in Event#9

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Cherokee is in full swing at Harrah’s Cherokee and has crowned over a dozen of champions so far. Cherish Andrews was one of the latest winners crowned at the ongoing series. Continuing her winning streak in 2024, she emerged victorious in Event #9: $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em of the series to claim her fourth ring and $108,971. In addition to the prize money, she also earned a seat to the 2025 WSOP Tournament of Champions.

Cherish has steadily climbed up the ranks over the past few years and is rated as one of the most talented players today. With the latest win she not only grew her trophy case but also grew her legacy in the game. This was her third title of 2024, following her victories in the $ 1,600 No Limit Hold’em at The Wynn Fall Classic in the $ 2,200 No Limit Hold’em at Wynn Millions Poker Series in Las Vegas. After the latest win, she now has an impressive $2,639,068 in live tournament earnings.

Sporting a massive $300K guarantee, Event #9: $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em of the 2024 WSOP Circuit Cherokee drew an impressive 592 entries, crushing its guarantee and building  $577,200, which was finally shared by the top 81 players. A total of 81 players returned for Day 2 with the field being littered with several big names including Preston McEwen, the eventual winner Cherish Andrews, Brett Apter, Christian Harder, Marshall White, Chris Conrad, 2023 WSOP Main Event Champion Daniel Weinman return and many more.  

The action on Day 2 was fast and furious as we saw eliminations coming quickly. With the final 10 players in Event #9: $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em, Cherish Andrews had a lot of chips, roughly holding 25% of the chips in play. After the final table was formed with the elimination of Carl Norris in tenth place for $6,512, she continued her dominance on the final table, eventually clashing with Norman Rodriguez in the heads-up for the title. Norman Rodriguez could not go all the way and had to settle for the runner-up prize worth $72,650.

Brenda Huiel Wins WSOP Circuit Cherokee #12: $300 Ladies Event

Cherish Andrews is not the only female winner from the series. Following her victory, we also saw Brenda Huiel emerge victorious in Event #12: $300 Ladies Event of the WSOP Circuit Cherokee. She triumphed over a field of 138 entries to take home $8,095 from the  $33,120.

This was Huiel’s first-ever WSOP ring and she overcame a tough final table featuring several notables like Rokeya Jones (4th), Ashley Morales (5th), and defending champion Jennifer Germany (7th).
