It was blockbuster week on the virtual felts with all major online poker platforms coming out all guns blazing and offering massive guaranteed tournaments. While we witnessed several big scores and victories, the top scorers of the week once again emerged from Natural8 India, with Shreyansh Sharma topping the weekly charts with his INR 51.45 Lakh score on Natural8 India.

Shreyansh Sharma  Wins INR 51.45 Lakhs In Sunday Showdown 108

The week was highlighted by two massive scores, one coming on the live felts and the other coming from the virtual felts. In a historic feat on the live felts, Nishant Sharma achieved an unbelievable feat in Malaysia by winning the Poker Dream 13 Main Event for a third time in a row! This Mumbai pro not only took home a career-best MR 930,800 (INR 1.76 Crores) for his main event win but also showcased him as a true legend, winning three Poker Dream titles in the series. He raked in a total of MR 1.285 Billion (INR 2.43 Crores) from his cashes in the series, taking #8 spot on India’s all-time money list.

Moving over to the virtual felts, we had another Sharma making a huge splash. Shreyansh Sharma took the Natural8 India felts by storm with a massive score in the Sunday Showdown 108. Following his impressive finish in the Zodiac Main Event just weeks ago, Sharma battled it through a large 7,150-entry field in the Sunday Showdown 108, securing a remarkable 42nd finish. Interestingly, this Sunday tournament featured a mystery bounty format and Sharma played some top-notch poker, racking up an incredible INR 50.86 Lakhs in bounties, making him the biggest scorer of the week. This score, combined with his tournament winnings, took his total winnings to a mind-blowing INR 51.45 Lakhs – his biggest score on Natural8 India and overall

Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram Wins INR 33.44 Lakh In Korea National Cup

Another player who made waves during the week was MTT crusher Nishaanth Shanmughasundaram, who grabbed  the coveted APT trophy in the Korea National Cup on Saturday.  Nishaanth, who earlier made headlines with his Beijing Mystery Bounty Millions victory for INR 1.97 Lakhs and a win in the Bounty Hunters Main Event 54 for INR 66.66 Lakhs, added another feather to his cap by outlasting a packed field  of 1,165 entries in the Korea National Cup on Saturday, winning a jaw-dropping INR 33.44 Lakhs, making him the second biggest scorer of the week.

This marked his third biggest score and made him the first Indian in the ongoing APT Online 2024 series, which features up to 20 APT trophies and is scheduled to conclude on December 1, 2024. With the latest victory, his annual winnings now stand at INR 5.10 Cores (According to the PokerGuru database).

Mystery Crusher ‘SpewSolver’ Finishes Third For INR 19.88 Lakhs In Korea National  Cup.

The third biggest score of the week belonged to the mystery player ‘SpewSolver’, who made waves in the same Korea National Cup on Natural8, with a remarkable third-place finish, taking home INR 19.88 Lakhs. With the latest finish, his total winnings exceeded 62 Lakhs on Natural8 India.

Mithun Mahesh Wins Adda52’s 50 Lakh GTD Big Whale for INR 8.55 Lakhs

Over at Adda52, Mithun ‘Intuitionn’ Mahesh, the Pocket52 PSL Season 6 Player of the Season, stole the show by besting a packed field of 1,070 entries in Adda52’s 50 Lakh GTD Big Whale to claim INR 8.55 Lakhs, following a heads-up deal with Abhimanyu ‘PsychoDrama’ Mittal who took home INR 7,46,968.

The finale saw 114 players and lasted for over 5.5 hours. In the end, Mahesh emerged victorious, beating some of the best players in the game and showing that he is not just a great coach, he is a formidable player too.

The final table of the INR 5,750 buy-in Big Whale was a star-studded one, featuring Sandeep ‘effuno’ Varma RS (4th for INR 3.55 Lakhs), Sanat ‘mehro2511’ Mehrotra (5th for INR 2.57 Lakhs), Varun ‘BuffBluff’ Mittal (6th for INR 1.87 Lakhs), Arsh ‘bigggtymer’ Grover (7th for INR 1.36 Lakhs), and Nishaanth ‘superdeluxe’ Shanmughasundaram (8th for INR 98,393). Aside from his victory in the Big Whale, Mahesh went on to crush three more events, racking up over INR 9.05 Lakhs – one of the biggest Sunday scores.
