We are just two days away from the ending of the 2024 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Monte Carlo. The series has found its main event champion, with King Kenney winning the $125k Main Event for a top prize money of $4.41 million. In Event 11, Igor Yaroshevskyy used his  middling stack to score his career second triton title. Here is the Highlight of the two Events:

Bryn Kenney Wins EVENT #10: $125K NLH MAIN EVENT

Bryn Kenney showed why he is the high stakes poker legend, further solidifying his position as the No 1 on poker’s all-time money list. Kenny won the Triton Poker SHRS Monte Carlo EVENT #10: $125K NLH Main Event, earning a fourth career triton title, and the first place prize money of $4.41 million. The win not only won him the whopping top prize but also pushed his career earnings past $71.4 million, to stay at the top of the money list.

159 entrants gathered inside the Sporting Monte Carlo to compete in the $125k buy-in Main Event. The top 27 players received a piece from the impressive $19,875,000 prize pool. Mikita Badziakousk, who made a final table finish in the Triton Invitational, busted out on the final table bubble, kicking off the final table on Day 3.

Jonathan Jaffe led the final table with a massive chip stack, followed by Wai Leong Chan and Bryn Kenney in third. Fresh off his victory in Event 9, Jesse Lonis again fought with Punnat Punsri at the main event final table. However, Punsri’s hand held up, making Lonis the first to fall off the table. Lonis ended up in 9th place for a six-figure score. The elimination was followed by the exit of Thomas Muhlocker (8th), Danny Tang (7th), and Mario Mosbock (6th).

Jaffe, who led the final table at the beginning, lost his stack to Chan, and eventually busted in 5th place. Chan then eliminated Bob Voulgaris in 4th place. Punnat Punsri who ended up in runner-place in the previous Event# 9 to Jesse Lonis, had another chance to score his third triton title. But he failed to click this time and was eliminated by Chan in 3rd place.

At the beginning of the heads-up battle, Kenney held 43 BBs against 57 BBs of Chan. The heads-up battle lasted for 14 minutes, making it one of the shortest Triton heads-up battles of this series. Despite the lead, Kenny swiftly took the lead in just three hands of play. On the final hand, Kenny jammed with pocket sixes, and Chan called for the last of his stack holding Ad-9c. The board couldn’t improve Chan’s hand.

Chan collected $2,970,000 and is still looking out for his first-ever triton title. Kenny collected $4,410,000 and took home his fourth triton title, along with a luxurious watch from Jacob & Co.

Igor Yaroshevskyy Takes Down Event #11: $60K NLH TURBO

Igor Yaroshevskyy took down the Triton Poker Event no. 11 $60k no-limit hold’em turbo, claiming his second triton poker title, and banked a staggering $862,357 for his victory. Yaroshevskyy scored his first triton poker title earlier this month at the Triton Poker SHRS Montenegro in a Bounty event earning a seven-figure score. His latest victory at the Monte Carlo took his career’s live tournament earnings to over  $10.8 million.

The $60k buy-in NLH turbo saw 61 turnouts, creating a prize pool of $3,660,000. The top 13 players received a payout. The 1-day tournament was fast, with the field quickly narrowing down to the final 9.

The final table began with Thomas Boivin leading the pack, and Yaroshevskyy holding a middling stack. David Yan was the first knockout of the final table, followed by the chip leader Thomas Boivin who ran into the pocket eights of Luc Greenwood with Ad-5d. Greenwood flopped a full house, leaving Boivin with just a few BBs. Greenwood soon took the remaining chips from Boivin, eliminating him in 8th place. Ren Lin (7th), Leon Sturm (6th), and Aleks Ponakovs (5th) soon followed the railbirds.

Greenwood’s run soon ended as his Ah-Qc got beaten by the pocket eight of Alex Theologis. Luc Greenwood took the fourth place. Theologis’s further narrowed down the field to two, by sending Dominykas Mikolaitis in 3rd. Entering the heads-up, Theologis held a small chip lead, which Yaroshevskyy soon covered. Both the players then opted for an ICM chop, in which Theologis would collect $860,143 and Yaroshevskyy $833,357. The remaining $29,000 was left for the winner, along with the trophy.

The lead didn’t last long, with Yaroshevskyy scooping some big pots. The heads-up eventually ended when Theologis open-shoved holding 6h-10h and Yaroshevskyy called with Ah-3d. The board brought an ace and three on the flop, and a three on the turn card, giving Yaroshevskyy a full house.

Alex Theologis has to wait a little more to collect his first triton title. Theologis ended up earning $860,143. Yaroshevskyy scooped the $29,000 to take home $862,357.
